Starbucks

A snowman shortbread cookie and a Grande Americano were in order when I visited this Starbucks on a busy Thanksgiving Day morning.
The shortbread cookie was nicely shaped like a festive snowman, had a light buttery short bread crumbly texture, and had very good flavor. The cookie is made with enriched bleached wheat and wheat and malted barley flour. The white chocolate icing was semi sweet, and not as sweet as most white chocolate icings that I have encountered. Good cookie.
The Americano was alright. It was a bit harsh, and not as smooth as they usually make it. I usually ask for a new one, when it’s this way, but this time I added a little half and half and a touch of honey to mellow it out.
The young ladies at the counter were friendly enough. They were a little rushed, given the long lines, which was understandable. There was an older gentlemen working as well and he had a very funny sense of humor. Nice Starbucks.

This Starbucks is cozy and great for weekend evening working sessions. It offers a couple of sofa chairs, four wooden tables/​chairs, and two high tables with stools. I personally like the wooden table and chair combo — I feel I keep a straighter posture.
I have the place all to myself tonight! I love that they are playing holiday music. It’s relaxing and productive — with white noise to keep me focused.
The baristas are really nice, as well. That always makes the difference.

Dennis is such a bright light in this location. Cheerful and attentive.
The reorg of the tables and displays seems like a bad idea. The flow is not good and the tables are randomly situated. When the weather is nice love sitting outside.
Great location near our grocery store and and drug store and P.O. Box.
Recommend it for sure.

I really enjoy coming to this Starbucks for two reasons
1) staff is always friendly and welcoming
2) I enjoy hanging out by the fountain drinking my coffee/​tea
Unlike other reviews I’ve noticed, I’ve had nothing but great service here. The employees are young, but knowledgeable about their product. At my most recent visit, I decided I wanted to try the sparkling green tea + Apple on ice. They made an effort to make it but their carbonation machine had broke the evening before and didn’t have enough time to get it fixed. No problem to me because I went with my go to drink: Iced Green Tea latte w/​coconut milk no added sweetener.
My drink was ready as soon as I received the receipt! Talk about fast and friendly service!
The atmosphere is very enjoyable and relaxing. I walked here with baby in the stroller and parked ourselves at a table next to the fountain.
We joked, laughed, sipped our bottles/​Starbucks and had a great time in the cool fall/​summer breeze.
I’ll definitely be back to this location. Maybe I’ll walk here every Saturday with the baby!

I love me some Starbucks!!! Fast service and my two difficult drinks were made to perfection. This location is great to sit and study!

This is the first bad Starbucks experience I have ever had. Brought my family for a stop to get a little pick me up for the drive home to San Diego from Disneyland. First there are four of us so yes our order is a bit long. The gentlemen at the register was an older man who was very kind. There was a young lady working as the barista, she shouted about one of the men working needing to go on break. She also kept shouting the items that they didn’t have and couldn’t make. Her tone took away from the Starbucks vibe you come to expect and love. When we received our drinks she made them incorrectly and when we told her she had attitude and checked the side of the cup (I perceived this as her attempt to point blame) where it was written correctly she just made it wrong. She then grabbed the drinks Threw them from where she was standing into the trash. You heard the drink hit the trash as the other one hit the floor. She left it there on the floor and just continued. At that point we were all just stunned, took our drinks, said thank you and left.

When I walked in they were mopping the floor. The business is clearly open, but they were mopping the floor so that there were no tables and you could barely walk on the floor. Then I walk towards the bathroom and see that the bathroom is closed. It’s closed for cleaning. And it will not reopen. The guy mopping the floor says in a stern voice that the bathroom is closed. Now I have to find another bathroom. At least the coffee is okay. try to think a little bit harder about the customer experience next time

I recently moved to Oceanside from Carlsbad. The Poinsettia Starbucks I would go to every Friday. I love the staff! JP is so friendly and though there are lines are long they really do a great job of getting everyone out quickly. We always get friendly personal greeting! I wish the one by my new home was as great as this one!

Gentleman taking orders was personable, another barista in line helped a customer with their «hidden menu» order…
The «regulars» though are less than welcoming. They complain that there are «strangers» taking their regular tables and that the music should be Jazz, and they think other patrons are too loud… I’ve gotten started at since I got here and I’m just quietly working on my laptop. Yikes.

Fun group, slow at making coffee, litter on floor. Would go back for the nice team. The rest of it is a bummer

Hands down my favorite walk in starbucks
I have only had one bad experience with this place and it was over a year ago with a lady that worked later in the day.
I come into this Starbucks everytime I work a morning shift (so Fri-​sun) and I am ALWAYS greeted very warmly. I always get the same drink and little breakfast sandwhich every single morning and one of the morning workers that I see everytime started to notice!
I believe his name is Jamie? But when I went in today and looked for his name tag it just said JP. I will figure it out and write it in the tips because he is the best starbucks employee I have ever come across for numerous reasons. For one, he remembered my name (which is pretty easy because I wear my name tag in) but he also remembered my drink just the way I like it!!! That takes skill when you serve as many people in one day as they do. He also is always in a good mood. there have been a couple mornings that I come in half asleep at 5:30am and he is wide awake and seems to be happy to be there which is great. he has a consistent attitude and I’ve noticed that other customers like him also. So props to the managers on hiring JP, or maybe he is a manager haha, but either way he is a great employee.
There is another employee that stood out to me just this morning named Dennis. He was very sweet to me and welcoming and made me laugh which is hard to do in the morning haha.
So as you can see by my rant, this starbucks is my favorite, I love the employees and they always make my drink perfectly and get me in and out quickly so I can get to work on time!!!
It’s always clean in there and there is a cute patio outside to sit and sip your starbucks if you aren’t in a hurry like me!
I definitely reccomend giving this place a look if you are an avid starbucks goer like me:)

I love Starbucks, just not this location:
I am a Starbucks regular. I order the same drink every time I go in. It’s an iced espresso drink with a little bit of toffee nut syrup. Unfortunately, Starbucks has made a recent policy change that can only hurt their business. Effective this past weekend, Starbucks has intentionally re-​calibrated all of their espresso machines. They claim to have done so in misguided effort to «save water». Their new adjustment to their machines reduces the size of every espresso shot by about HALF.
Now, in theory, saving water is always a good thing – right? But Starbucks isn’t doing this to «save water» at all. They are doing to to simply raise their revenues. Starbucks is now forcing any person who buys their espresso to DOUBLE their espresso order get the same amount of espresso they are used to. It’s as simple as that.
As for the mantra they’re forcing their staff to spill out: «It doesn’t alter the flavor of your drink at all! It also doesn’t affect the amount of caffeine!» Nonsense. Half the portion certainly DOES affect both the flavor of your drink and the amount of caffeine in your beverage. Just how stupid does Starbucks think we are?
This particular location has a terribly weak wifi signal as well. It’s impossible to connect to their wifi from about half of their tables. This could easily be remedied by a $ 20 wifi signal enhancing device from Target. They just don’t care.
TIPS:
1) Ask for your espresso containing drinks to be made with espresso «long shots». For the same price you can circumvent their new greedy ruling.
2) Rather than waiting around in the excessively long line of this location simply buy your Starbucks drink from the Starbucks counter within the Ralphs right next door.

Love to have my coffee taste exactly the same every time I order it. Gotta have my nonfat mocha. Very friendly staff.

This was around 1−2pm.Bad awful service! I was next in line and the cashier keeps looking to help another customer to the right of me. I guess he is new, but dude. at least say «I can help whoever is next in line.» «Hi sir what can I get you?!» Now that’s customer service!

It was a nice treat after eating at the plaza, menu was the same and they were fully stocked with all their pastries at night. the staff was friendly but short and we had to wait a bit before we actually got everything but it was nice and had some really good ambiance and overall is what you can expect from any starbucks.

As you can see from earlier reviews, this place gets a lot of visitors from near by hotels. A ton of non-​locals that want to bitch.
It’s a great Starbucks with a GREAT morning crew. This location has about 30% more foot traffic than most. The staff does their absolute best to accommodate all.
I give it 5 stars.

Two words: terrible service. The barista’s argued with me regarding a free drink I had earned. It was rather embarrassing. I had learned from a fried she had a similar issue, so I believe it was a computer problem. Unfortunately, the experience left such a bad taste in my mouth, I won’t be frequenting this Starbucks again. :(

Nice location, only people who live around go in. Outside has a nice fountain in the small plaza. The inside is almost always needing a quick sweep or wipe and the chair layout is… different. Baristas are mneh. They seem bored. And they were out of Very Berry Hibiscus — huh? You couldn’t borrow from another store earlier so this wouldn’t be a problem?
And please, if you are going to feed the ducks, bring oatmeal, rather then bread!

Excellent customer service. I spent a couple hours there working and the staff seemed to know half of the customers!
A bit on the small side with limited seating.

This is a decent and convenient Starbucks location. I stop here sometimes on my way to work because the Starbucks location closer to my office ALWAYS has a long line in the morning.
I come to this location because it is in a small strip mall so there is plenty of parking out front and i can get in and out in just a few minutes. The employees here are consistently friendly and welcoming to me. They have some nice outdoor seating as well for the mornings that I want to do a little work using their free wifi.
PS… the holiday cups are here!!!
