Dental Office visits are probably my least favorite thing in life. So when I was told by my family dentist that I needed a Crown Lengthening procedure done, I quickly began to stress. My dentist referred me to Dr. Todd Nalley for a consultation. Upon my arrival, I was immediately put at ease by his quaint office. It was in no way intimidating like some of the Dental-factories that are beginning to become more common nowadays. In addition, his staff, sensing my «dental-phobia,» attempted to make me as comfortable as possible while I waited. During the consultation, Dr. Nalley explained exactly what he saw and what the Crown Lengthening procedure entailed. Lucky for me, a last minute cancellation allowed me to get the procedure done within a few days. Aside from two slight pricks when Dr. Nalley administered the anesthetic, I felt no pain whatsoever throughout the 45 minute procedure. Since I don’t react well to the sound of a dental drill, Dr. Nalley had suggested I bring headphones(which I did so I could drown out the drill with Def Leppard). Another nice touch was the sunglasses provided by Dr. Nalley’s assistant since they provided much needed relief from the bright dental light focused only feet above my face. When finished, Dr. Nalley and his assistant took time answering all of my questions(regarding post-procedure instructions). They even provided me with written instructions to ensure I would remembered everything. The professionalism and compassion displayed by Dr. Nalley and his entire staff were greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Dr. Nalley for anyone who has«dental-phobia» and needs the services of a Periodontist.
