Getting back into yoga after 10 year hiatus. Love the classes — beginner, gentle and hot fusion. And everyone is so nice and welcoming! Highly recommend.

I absolutely love Mantra! Every class I take is different. I love how the teachers mix up the practices. I look forward to my practice each and every time! The teachers take time to talk to us, to help us better understand the human body and the importance of the breath. Best yoga studio I’ve ever practiced at! I love Marla and Trevor’s classes.

love the instructors, studio, staff, the organic juice bar on site and the many healthy options, juice, acai bowls etc a big plus. I recommend to all my friends to try it. « “Always love seeing Amy and her dog Cody. My order is always perfect and I always get a welcoming smile. Enjoy coming for classes and getting a juice or acai bowl. My little dog is made to feel welcome too.»

Kudos to Mantra Yoga & Juice Bar! Here is my follow up review: Juice Bar: The wait is typically short, the staff behind the desk pays meticulous attention to details, and makes great effort to create the perfect experience. All of yoga and juice-bar staff always takes time to connect and make you feel special(including notes on the smoothie cup), the flavored waters are an awesome touch, and a broad array of health fresh foods has made my life enhanced(& I love the convince factor). Clean, local/organic, delicious salads and mini treats. Shout out to Amy the exceptionally talented chef and manager of the Juice Bar — she is professional, talented, and a sweet-soul. Yoga Studio: Best in town! The classes offered with a wonderful set of choices in terms of style/approach/level. Based on where I am at in my body, or my life schedule I’m able to integrate the appropriate type of yoga into my routine. I love the Yin classes, the yoga-therapy class. I think their instructors are really skilled and professional. I am particularly fond of Dri and her Yin approach — she gently guide us with lovely tone of voice, grounded in firm anatomy knowledge she offers the props in smooth transitions, with subtle music that leaves you feel invigorated. I highly recommend many of your yoga instructors.”

Awesome. Just plain awesome. Hands down the best yoga studio I’ve come across in San Diego! A strong community, incredible classes, workshops and staff… and a delicious juice bar to top it all off! The Pitaya Bowl is my favorite :)

Mantra is awesome. Love the vibes and how they keep up the quality and stay true to how they started. I’m okay with a slight price increase if it means not sacrificing quality(great classes, the lavender towel, fully stocked bathroom, showers with shampoo and conditioner, toiletries, lockers, etc.). Their drop-in rate went up a bit, but that’s cool with me if it means staying true to how they started, like I said before. Also, there’s a discount for teachers! So I got $ 20 off my package of 20 classes. Awesome that they don’t expire either! Good job, mantra team.

If you would like to attend classes to be able to say«I go to yoga», then this establishment is for you! Superficially this yoga business looks great and even moves the body well. It’s clean when you enter {thanks to the trade volunteers who do an outstanding job, while being looked down upon by most Mantra staff-personal experience} And when you approach the desk you may find the yoga instructors sitting on the front desk, gossiping with one another and the front desk assistant. This yoga studio reminds me of a high school environment, the energy is very off, and does not encompass mind, body, spirit nor philosophy of yoga. I hope this review is helpful and I hope Mantra can one day rediscover the meaning of their mantra. I will not return nor recommend this studio to the practicing yogi/yogini.

I’ve been coming to Mantra for two weeks now and LOVE it!!! Several years when I went to yoga I always found it boring and making me more tired than it did awake. My opinion has completely changed since coming to Mantra! It’s clean, spacious, and the salad & juice bar is a total plus! They have classes at all hours of the day starting at 6am, during lunch hours, and evening classes to satisfy everyone’s time constraints. Additionally, it’s clean — I have no problem being barefoot here, which I can’t say at most places.

Last summer I made it my full time job to find the perfect yoga studio for me. I practiced at 5 different studios in North County and without a doubt Mantra Yoga and Juice Bar was absolutely my new yoga home. The services is 5 star 5 diamond! Between the amazing instructors, cleanliness, juice bar with delicous recipes and friendliest staff, spectacular workshops, events and let not forget the cold lavender hand towels placed on your forehead during Shavasana… this is hands down the best yoga studio I have been too.

The pitaya bowl is giant! They totally hook it up as far as portions. My friend Rachel and I each ordered our own pitaya bowl, and were both amazed at how much food we got. I finished all of mine! It was really good. The yoga classes are also fun. I love the yin yoga class, which emphasizes deep relaxation and gentle supported stretching. I love the clean, new, modern vibes. The showers w/shampoo, conditioner, and liquid body soap are nice!

Love this place. So clean and welcoming! I’ve gone to a bunch of different classes and have had various instructors. Dri– she’s so sweet and super helpful. Always ensuring you are aligned and reaching your potential. She’s super spiritual too— love her yin class! Kecia— love her instructions. She is so clear! And she always has powerful messages that resonate with you. She can be hands on at some points which I love– helps you to be better! Deborah– great energy and wicked positive. She is articulate and encouraging! She makes it a point to learn your name! Emily– omg she sings and plays guitar during savanasa. Such a gem! She has an amazing voice! Her classes are refreshing! Christian– one of my favs! He is so real! He encourages his students to flow on their own and guides them. Love his music and energy! Trevor– really spiritual. He knows his stuff but can be a bit long winded. However, he always tries to reach his students with his unique and powerful word choice. These are just some of the instructors who I’ve taken several classes with and feel confident to review. They are all awesome! The studio is even doing a free«positive» challenge with all sorts of fun things to accomplish during the month of January to get your year off on a great start. I can’t praise this studio enough for the positive vibes and welcoming atmosphere. It’s really gotten me to become a true yogi! What are you waiting for? Take a class and grab a delicious and healthy juice/smoothie after!(in fact, pre order before the class so it’s ready once your done!) –update. This place is obviously great because it’s so popular; but honestly it’s getting too popular for my liking. I get to the 530 class early to get a spot and people still come in late or just barely right on time when it’s already packed. They need a better system to control the amount of people. If someone asks me to move over and when I do I am up against the wall; it’s super uncomfortable. I left class today super anxious and not at all relaxed or «zen» because it was so overcrowded and the instructor threw in a different kind of flow that was hard to follow and she was lost in crowd. This«too packed» class situation has happened a few times. I tell myself to avoid the 530 classes but I’m paying a monthly fee and it’s the time that works for me. I know you are supposed to love your neighbor and embrace the closeness or what not… but sometimes it’s just too much. To their credit, they have added a few more classes— but it still doesn’t stop the classes from being jam packed. Perhaps tape on the floor to designate mat spots would help? I’ve actually cancelled my membership because of this problem. I may just buy classes and go when it’s less crowded or just find another studio that has more crowd control.

Mantra has done a good job at standing apart from the 4 or 5 other YOGA places I’ve gone to. WHYMANTRAISBETTERTHANOTHERYOGASTUDIOS: 1.) It’s super clean and I love that. 2.) So nice to have showers and not have to bring shampoo. 3.) Lockers are a big plus. 4.) Juice bar and wifi are big amenities. 5.) Here’s the one that really made an impression on ME. The cold lavender wash cloth placed on my forehead at the end of every heated yoga class is excellent. THINGSTHATMAYBECOULDBEIMPROVED: 1.) I wish the heated classes were HOT. Maybe it’s not possible or maybe that’s not the goal. Coming from the studio I’ve been at for the last year the heated classes just seem warm. No big deal, I sweat no doubt, but I find myself missing the hotter temperature. That’s really it, of course the cost is a little bit higher at Mantra, but overall there are so many benefits and amenities that I can deal with it.

I have recently begun going to their yoga classes and have had an amazing experience so far. I signed up for the introductory special of $ 20 for 20 days of yoga. I have tried the Mantra Yoga 2, Hot Fusion, and Sculpt classes. All the classes were challenging in their own ways. Each instructor is also very knowledgable and fantastic. I have taken Sonja, Nichole and Tammy’s classes. I have enjoyed them all and can’t wait to keep coming back.

Great smoothies! I tried the Warrior 2 which consists of banana, almond butter, maca, honey and homemade almond milk. The large was only $ 9! The juices sounded great which I’ll definitely try next time… I can’t remember the name, but the one that stood out to me had grapefruit, beets, ginger and turmeric. This place has a cool fresh vibe and many healthy on the go options such as salads which were under $ 8 as well as protein bars. Try it out!

I love Mantra! They’re teaching style is similar to Corepower and yet it’s so much better. There is a retail section, a juice bar, and a working area with free WiFi — they’re dog friendly too! The yoga rooms are vibrant, white and light with beautiful wooden floors and clean mirrors. They offer blocks, blankets, straps, and at the end of class a cold lavender towel. For these reasons, I’ve become a member!

This review is for the smoothie I ordered only! I have not had the opportunity to try the yoga out yet even though I really want to. The store front is super cute and very clean. This area includes the juice bar. I came in this morning to finally try a smoothie. I came in and stood at the front for a good few minutes before I finally spoke up and said hello excuse me are you open because I was starting to run late for work. A lady came out of the back and helped me. I ordered the strawberry fields forever with dates. The smoothie was very well blended and had a very nice texture to it which I believe came from the protein powder that was in it. My drink had a very light strawberry flavor and was very overpowered by the vanilla protein. I was a little disappointed by that and wished it tasted more like strawberries since that’s the item in the name. This also made it not quite as refreshing as I wanted it to taste. I think the smoothie was good but not what I was expecting. I feel the juice bar items we’re slightly over priced. My medium smoothie was 8 $ and would have cost me 2 $ more had I not checked into Unilocal to get the free super food boost added. Price aside, I would still buy from the juice bar occasionally as a treat for myself. Will review again later for yoga.

UMYUM. Delicious acai bowl! A little slow on service but damn well worth the wait! Came here with a little extra time on my hands prior to work and post a yoga workout(at another spot) & figured why not have something healthy? Well… I wasn’t disappointed! I called in my order when I was on my way and arrived for a bit of a wait– the guy behind the counter had been helping this girl who was pretty mellow and when I told him about my order he kind of apologized as he hasn’t quite had the chance to make it yet… Granted, he put almond butter after offering it to me and although I’ve never had it before I absolutely loved it! It’s a bit on the pricey side– about 7 – 9 for juice or smoothies but my bowl was $ 7 bucks. And although small at first, worth every single bite and just brightened my day(as well as kept my hunger at bay!). Only thing I would recommend to them is to get some bags! Cuz I almost spilled my bowl twice. But that’s all. I like! Expect to see me there Thursday, I’ll stop on my way at 8ish!

My experience with Mantra didn’t start out ideal. I went for a juice last Thursday morning around 8:50am. I was hoping to get a fresh juice(perhaps the Surf Side Beet), and check the place out to see if I may want to return for a yoga class during my visit. Unfortunately, when I walked up the stairs, I found locked doors and a handful of folks waiting for their 9am class. I didn’t have time to wait, so I went away juiceless. I woke up early the next morning and decided that yoga sounded amazing, so I headed over to give Mantra another shot… My plan was to take the 6:30am class to start my day. I arrived and walked up the stairs at 6:20 to find… locked doors! This time the instructor(Kecia) was there but the key was not. She apologized and did a great job rolling with the punches. She called someone to see if they could come help and took a vote amongst those of us that were there and we decided to start our class outside on the patio. It’s worth mentioning how friendly the other yogis were; one woman offered an extra towel/mat for me to use and another man offered his jacket to keep me warm. That says something about the studio… Luckily for us, about ten minutes into our cold yoga class, someone arrived and let us into the studio. We warmed up quickly and finished a pleasant class indoors. It ended up all working out and Kecia didn’t charge those of us that attended for the class, but two locked doors in two days didn’t sit 100% right with me. I’m hoping that was a one-off situation. I’d totally return as the studio seemed great, and I’d like to try that juice in the future. Better luck to all of you reading this review — cheers to open doors, hot yoga and cold juice in Mantra’s future!
