Me my husband and 4 kids stayed here this past week. I’ll admit its a pretty nice suite for the price and I thought that everything was going to be great considering that we were staying at The Hyatt Suites. Boy was I wrong! We arrived checked in and my whole family took the shuttle to Legoland. Then there was a power outage while we were at Legoland so the park had to close and they gave our family free tickets to come back when we left which was the right thing to do. So we stood out front trying to call the hotel for a return shuttle. No one answered our call due to the power being out which was understandable. We waited for an hour in front while the other hotel shuttles were coming back and forth to pick up their guest and still no shuttle from Hyatt. WTF?!? at this point we decided that our only option was to walk back to the hotel. Now if this was just me and my husband it probably wouldnt be such a big deal but we had our 9 month old daughter and 3 boys with us. That must have been the longest walk ever took us 1.5 hours to reach the hotel. What really got me upset was when we arrived the shuttle van was just parked there in their drive way. seriously?!? So I asked to speak to the manager there I believe his name was Trey, I told him about our whole ordeal and he said he was sorry and assured me that he would take care of everything the next day and make things right. So that night we had to pack up and leave to go find another place to stay because I could not stay in a hotel room that was pitch black with my baby and 3 boys. The next morning when we came back electricity was back to normal I asked to speak to the manager but he was not in yet and the person at the front desk told me not to worry the manager would take care of everything. So we went about our day slept there at night and checked out the next morning. When I checked out I again asked to speak with a manager because they were still charging me for a night at their hotel even when there was no power and electricity! Are you Serious? charging guest about $ 200 a night for a room with no AC or electricity!!! Once again the manager was not in and the girl at the front desk said there is nothing that they can do about it. I used to think Hyatt was a good name but never again will I ever stay in any of their establishments. Never!

New name is Hyatt Summerfield Suites For the price… this is as good as it gets! We stayed her in June for 6 nights and had a fantastic time. The hot breakfast and evening social(appetizers and open bar) where a huge plus. Parking is free and they have free wifi. They also offer free shuttle services to the beach, nearby restaurants, and legoland. We preferred to walk to the beach as it wasn’t more then a few blocks away(you can always use the exercise, right?). We were originally given a room on the second floor; however, after being awaken multiple time by what sounded like a stampede of elephants, we asked to be moved up to the third floor. It turns out we were directly under a family 5 with 3 children under 4 years old(explains the noise). After we were moved to the third floor we didn’t hear a things. The hotel is located next to the railroad tracks but the noise wasn’t disturbing and my 2 year old LOVED to watch the train go by. If you ask for a room on the other side of the hotel the train noise is almost nonexistent(but you do have a view of the freeway instead). We really enjoyed this hotel and will be coming back soon!

We stayed here on a trip to Legoland last summer. I’ve just booked another stay here for this coming summer. When we were there last year, I felt that we had discovered an unknown gem. The hotel was virtually empty; perhaps it was mid-week. But perhaps it was because they were in the process of renovating many of the rooms, so they were out of commission for that week. Still, it was a treat to stay at this hotel. We stayed in a one-bedroom/two queen bed suite. It had a fully equipped kitchen, complete with dishwasher, that saved us a ton of money on food — why pay $ 30 for a steak at a restaurant when you can make a run down to Ralph’s and pick up one for $ 10? I still demanded a tip from my wife though. The hotel runs a free shuttle to Legoland, and pretty much leave on demand. You just show up at the front desk, and if the van isn’t in use, then they quickly find someone to drive you there. Pickup was done on an on-call basis as well, and we never had to wait more than 10 minutes. The breakfast was typical continental fare, as I recall, with maybe a couple hot items. During the week, there was — get this –free self-service beer and wine. True, the beer was domestic and the wine was local, but still it’s a nice touch. Computer speed in the small business center was quite slow, unfortunately. Front desk staff was very friendly and attentive. We paid about $ 170 a night last year, and just booked a room for $ 171 this year. I’m not sure how this compares with other hotels, but when you factor in the savings from not having to eat out for dinner every evening, then in my opinion it makes it a good deal. It appears that they’ve changed their name to Hyatt Summerfield Suites, by the way. Hopefully the quality of service will be the same.

Tu D. said it all. Spacious bedroom with king size bed and queen size pull out in the living room(which was lumpy, but kids don’t care). Nice little kitchenette stocked with all the basic utensils for eating in. Decent continental breakfast included. I appreciate the Mexican tile accents throughout the hotel down to the sink basin. Warm, accommodating and helpful staff. Probably not the best deal in town but a decent value for $ 179/night. A stone’s throw away from Legoland.

A great hotel for a big family! and it’s just down the street from Legoland. The rooms are big and prices are affordable. Each room has a mini-kitchen stocked with the basics(except the food). We had 2 queens and a rollaway and still had lots of room. They serve a complimentary continental breakfast, a good pool, and a workout room. I met some people who actually live here! This was our second time here and I will definitely stay here again.
