Um I won’t be back. The food was served lukewarm. The pita slices were tiny. This location needs to be looked into by Daphne’s owner. They bring the food to your table and she forgot to bring tzaziki sauce. I had to ask for it. Sad, very sad.

One of my favorite local places for a quick and healthy lunch/dinner! Staff is always very friendly and accommodating

Having a few hit or miss experiences at Daphne’s we tried this location and while the service was very friendly our food was just not good. The greek style burger my son had very poor quality, tasted microwaved, the fries soggy and cold, pass on both of those next time. My gryo sandwich was also a bit cold and very small for the price, though I did enjoy their sauce that was about it. Prices are pretty high at over $ 10 for a small meal and the quality if just not there. Clean place with plenty of seating, the food just really needs work.

Daphne’s is always a good lunch choice., this one could use the telephones a bit better. I called in ahead of time so I wouldn’t have to wait, but they had me on hold for about 5 min so I hung up. I was on my way there and guess what there was only one person ordering when I got there. But other then the wait I enjoy eating here.

I Love the Daphne’s in Carlsbad I either done in or take out about twice a week, the staff is always super friendly and the food is consistently great !!! Reasonably priced menu that has a great Salmon in addition to all the traditional Greek offerings. I love this place and will continue to be a loyal customer !

After a long day, we were looking for something easy and quick for dinner. We had a coupon for Daphne’s and both like Greek, so figured we’d try it out. There was only one cook so we had to wait over 30 minutes for food. The food overall wasn’t bad, although the falafel’s were cold and the hummus was incredible bland. However, for what we paid(even after coupon), we realized there are much better(and more authentic) Greek places nearby that serve far better food at around the same cost.

I’m not even sure I would call this food. My husband picked up 2 «mix n match» dinners falafel, chicken shawarma, spanakopita, tabouli, mixed veggies. Basically everything looked like the bottom of a buffet that had been sitting out all day. The falafel was size of a quarter and had to have been fried 2 – 3 times. Chicken was dry, old and burnt on the edge. The spanakopita was ok because it had cheese but clearly sitting all day. We paid extra for hummus which equated to 2 tablespoons for $ 1.75 each. Tabouli was old. What little parsley it had was a muddy green color. First and last try for us at Daphne’s. Not worth the $ 27 for 2 meals

Walked in and was greeted as soon as I stepped inside. Decided to get the Chicken Shawarma Classic Pita. The food came out quickly, and was really good! The cashier/server Henry was very prompt and attentive, checked on us to make sure everything was okay. Seems like a very good value for the money. This was the second time I’ve been here, both times the service was great.

Their food is SOO good! One thing though is that our table was sticky… Other than that the service was amazing!

Consistently good. Never too busy. Friendly staff. Clean store. One of my go to spots for a quick and healthy bite to eat. They’re always quick and parking is easy. Doesn’t get much better than that.

Not bad but not good either. My falafel were round, burnt little quail egg sized balls. I am a value hunter and walked away still hungry and wanting something more. Oh well.

Used to be a casual go-to favorite. I never got on board with the test kitchen idea, just doesn’t seem right. Gryo sandwich was a little plain. Veggie sampler was left mostly uneaten by my wife. At least its nice and clean, just need better food.

I’m not so thrilled with our experiences at this location. 1) Parking can be a challenge. 2) Their chicken is greasy and full of tendons and bones. It’s as though someone with no knowledge of chicken anatomy has been handed a cleaver back in the kitchen. 3) The food comes to the table barely warm.

In a plaza off of El Camino Real. They have some great options for salads, rice bowls and pita sandwiches. The restaurant is well-kept and clean and service was great. I had the falafel sandwich and it wasn’t great it was very average somewhat dry. The tabouli salad was amazing though. My party was actually pretty impressed by how much they like the food.

Place is ok — the employees are friendly. Food is average. Last time I went there was a big plastic piece in my food.

1. I went there last year with a couple friends. We sat outside. My friends got their food but I didn’t. I waited and waited. Went in to see what was up. They had no record of my order. They finally brought my food(after my friends were done). Such a buzzkill. They did give me a $ 10 voucher, BUT it expired a month later, so I didn’t get to use it. 2. My friends and I ordered take-out recently. They gave us the wrong order which wasn’t discovered until the food arrived home. Took it back and got the correct order. Apparently they left it sitting there because it was cold and soggy. Such a bummer. 3. There won’t be a third time.

The food wasn’t bad but not good nor authentic Greek, duh. The messed up my kids order, slow, seemed confused and new to the business. Upside, no wait verses the Italian place next door. I love Italian but refuse to wait an hour.

Surprisingly pleased. I ordered whatever they call the Lamb Gyro(I think they call it a gyro pita sandwich?). It was so tasty! They don’t put the tzatziki on the gyro which is a shame but it’s on the side and easy enough to get into the gyro. It does kind of fall apart when you eat it but if you keep it int he paper they give you it adds a bit of structure(and I don’t mind that it kind of falls apart because the ratios of ingredients are perfect that way!). They put some sort of italian dressing on the lettuce in the gyro which is very random but a delightful little surprise. I really enjoyed it! I tried their fries too, not much to complain about there — nice and skinny without being too crispy! I would definitely come back.

Daphne’s is ok. I always get a Greek Chicken Salad here and it usually hits the spot. It isn’t the best that I’ve had, but it does the trick. The staff is friendly but I do find the seating to be a little cramped. Luckily there are some tables on the patio that allow for more breathing room. Daphne’s has Coca-Cola products on tap and some bottled beer options, wine too, I believe. A year or so ago Daphne’s tried to revamp their image but it seems about the same to me.

«Greek» style casual food This location is a test kitchen, so there’s a few items that aren’t on the menu at other locations. Overall, it’s no longer the place I remember(that offered half chickens with saffron rice and played Greek music for atmosphere) As others have said, it’s now a greek theme restaurant akin to Chipotle for mexican. That being said, it’s pretty decent if you’re not looking for authenticity. As a family, we order the family pack for $ 20 which includes choice of two proteins and two sides. We usually get a combo of crispy shrimp and gyros meat, with a generously sized greek salad, pita bread, and seasoned brown rice. The food is fresh and it offers good sized portions that can easily feed four. It’s a healthy option that is easy on the pocketbook. Nice place for kids– you can sit outside on the patio near the fountain and the kids can run around and play in a semi– enclosed grassy area.
