We both got the courthouse common Panini and to unsweetened iced teas, it was very very yummy. It was a very nice little quiet and comfortable place.

Good coffee, in house roasting! Thursday nights they host an open mic night that is a lot of fun.

Very slow service, but excellent food! Definitely recommend the pumpkin bagels with cream cheese! It was only like $ 1.99? :) So worth it.

I stopped by the Courthouse Commons to grab a quick lunch and coffee. I was not expecting great things, so in that way, I was not disappointed. I ordered an Americano, which tasted burnt. For lunch, I asked the girl at the counter to surprise me. She chose the PJ panini, which is a combination of roast beef, onion, and horseradish on a soggy pita. The sandwich was undecidedly hot and cold, as I experienced bites of both. The reason for the three stars is the service, which is really the only thing that was good. Actually, the girl at the counter was VERY sweet. If you’re low on options and desperately need caffeine, this is the place to go. Otherwise, I would go elsewhere.

Coffee was very good and tasted very fresh. We also had an egg cheese bagel. The bagel was good the eggs were frozen patties and were meh. Service was a average but good price.

I apparently stopped by on the wrong day. Coffee requires about 50 steps, from planting the right seed in the right soil to pouring the coffee in the right cup. When driving through the area yesterday, I made a point of getting far enough off the highway to find an independent shop. I was encouraged when I found that this one roasts its own coffee. The atmosphere is just lovely as well, as is the location in a walkable, vibrant downtown. But something went wrong with the Kona I purchased with hopes of sustaining me on a long drive. Typical truck-stop coffee is better. The styrofoam cups were part of the problem, but a serious brewing problem made this much worse than could be accounted for by that poor choice for take-out.(I know: I should have traveled with my travel mug!) Either the water quality is way off, or the coffee was warming on a burner. Those are very different things, but one or both seem to have been happening. I hope to give this another try when I’m next in the area, because this café’s loyal customers must usually have a different experience.

Good atmosphere, friendly staff. Thought the treats would be better tasting but not bad and points for stepping outside the box with atypical flavors like caramel apple cake and pretzel bottom brownie

I really expected much better after seeing the employees grinding fresh beans to make my espresso. They also used WAY too much flavoring syrup in my girlfriends latte, and I got the distinct impression that there was some sort of conflict going on between the employees during my visit. It does looks nice inside though.

To the poster who takes issue with the gentleman who sweeps outside: Yes, he sweeps the sidewalk, he sweeps the parking spot… he takes great pride in doing his«job.» As to his sweeping«while customers are waiting in line,» he is not an employee of the shop and does what he does out of a desire to be of help to people who have been very kind to him. Now, on to the actual«review» portion of my review: This place is awesome — seriously! As my sister likes to call it, it’s like Carlisle’s living room.

LOVE Courthouse Common, and Karen, Larry & Sam! They are kind to everyone and even employ some of the town travelers(who are occasionally out sweeping. Get over it). Great mochas, house-roasted coffee, yummy sandwiches and salads. I’m addicted to the jalapeño bagel, tho.

If this café says it is open at a specific time, it should be open. I showed up at the café 15 minutes after the café’s opening time and there was not even one light on in the store. Would have loved to get some local coffee before hitting the road. Disappointment would be an accurate description.

I was a huge fan of Mandy’s back in the day, so it’s nice to see another shop that’s really good on the square. I didn’t have a chance to try the food yet, but their espresso is phenomenal. If I hadn’t watched the barista pull the shots, I would have thought it was toddy. Definitely going back next time I’m in town.

If you are on jury duty this is the place to go for a nice lunch, quick breakfast sandwich or iced tea to help you endure the waiting process. The staff is friendly and«special orders don’t upset them».

*The* place to go for a light bite to eat and a great cup of coffee — or tea. Ive never had issue with lines or waiting any longer than 15 minutes for my food order — though I have never gone during the morning or noon lunch rush. The menu is fun and quirky and everything tastes super fresh. The staff is friendly and they are also pet friendly! At least they were when they were across the street. Im assuming they still love on the dogs and welcome them in. And free wi-fi!

It’s fantastic when you get you actually get your order. If there’s a line, find somewhere else to go, unless you want to wait 20 minutes for a cup of coffee, and 30 – 45 minutes for anything more complicated than that. However, when the place empty and you actually get your order, everything is quite tasty, especially the breakfast paninis.
