The Barnyard

We used to board our dogs here. The staff used to be friendly and we loved it. The last time we took our two Aussie shepherds there they had just been to the vet in Denver for their annual checkup and shots and were given a wonderful healthy review. We brought them here to stay and a few days later we get a phone call saying our dogs have lice. I let them know we were very disappointed and questioned the contraction of lice. They said they possibly could have gotten it in Denver. I told them they had never had lice and they are never around other dogs in Denver. They are family, inside pets. They had also just left the vet with a completely healthy report prior to being boarded here. They refused to admit our dogs contracted lice at their facility and demanded we come and pick them up. We ended up having to come and pick up our animals and took them to our vet in Denver and spent hundreds to have them treated and seen again because of this kennel and their careless, unsanitary conditions. We will never have our animals taken care of here again.

Highly recommend! The Barnyard-​Carbondale is the best in the valley. I looked at them all and hands down the Barnyard came out on top. My old Black Lab had never been to kennel and I was concerned leaving him. He had a great time there. Came home relaxed and I could tell from the communications, including daily photos!!, that he was in great hands at the Barnyard. The place is clean, one level, has a day care program for the dogs, and they really care for your pet.

The best Doggie Daycare around! These guys are awesome. As soon as we round the corner, my dog gets excited and starts her «Husky Song». She loves this place and would go every week if I would take her. They manage the play groups based on size and activity level. In addition to daycare, they offer boarding for dogs, cats, horses, etc. I totally trust these guys with my dog… and that says alot.
