Seattle, WA
Totally awesome experience! In the outskirts of a former coal mining town at the foot of Mount Rainier National Park this place is a true classic! It’s the only business in town and well over 100 years old. The hamburgers are phenomenal as are the hand cut fries. If you’re in a hurry go elsewhere but if you’re into exploring our great state by all means make a visit. The building is about as shabby as it gets but has many collectibles from the past and both the customers and staff are super nice. You may want to call ahead to make sure they’re open as there are only a couple of people that work here.

Gig Harbor, WA
We were out for a drive and stopped in just for the heck of it. When you enter its time to set your clock back 150 years or so. Beat wood floors, rough walls, a popcorn machine and bathrooms that are either outside or inside, not sure. The drinks are good, bar food is average but don’t go there for the food. It’s the people that make this place, both employees and patrons. Been there just shy of a dozen times and each time we have met wonderful people, the staff is always ready with a drink, a food order or just a story if you want. This is just a great place to hang out, before you know it a few hours have disappeared and it’s time to hit the trail.

Great food and great service. This place is worth the trip, make a day exploring then stop for a beer and burger. As soon as you walk in the bar it’s like stepping back to the 1800s. The outside area is huge and they are in the he process of building a stage. It will be nice if some bands come and enjoy a beer next to a fire listening to live music.

The burgers here definitely hit the spot after a long day of hiking. I got the mushroom & swiss — delicious (but the fries were thin and overcooked). Not many beers on tap. The inside of this place is really cool and cute, definitely has a small-​town dive-​bar vibe, but the service was not friendly. There was only one woman working behind the bar/​in the kitchen, so it took awhile to get our food, and she did not seem happy to be there (or to have us there).

The food… over rated barely palatable slog that is WAY over priced. The service is just as awful and the local drunks… will make damn sure they ruin your experience with their racial hatred comments. This place used to be a decent establishment, used to be.

Service was pretty bad… attitudes towards non regulars clearly different. Unfortunately I got ill after eating at this place. I looove a good dive bar, but they need a feisty bartender and good cook… not one to do both.
