Addicted to their breakfast burrito. The eternal debate is always bacon or chicken apple sausage inside the pillows of deliciousness that they call the breakfast burrito. Great pico de gallo that tastes homemade with eggs, cheese and sour cream. The crêpe Nutella is delicious too. Staff is often very friendly and helpful. A great alternative to mall food and a great value for what you get.

The customer service was wonderful and the space was really clean I really enjoyed the fast service and calm environment. Not to mention they serve breakfast all day and the chicken pesto crêpe was amazing ! I recommend this place if you are in the mood for a good meal

Excellent food. Slow service. Why would you have only two cooks on a Saturday morning? But the food is good enough to make it worth the wait if you have the time.

Basic egg breakfast was good, lots of bell pepper n onions in home fries which could have had more potato. Eyvands omelet had sliced cheese which needed to be melted. Crab n shrimp was good quality. No wait to order even better on a busy Sunday.

We got our food pretty quickly after ordering at the counter, but it wasn’t very satisfying. Buckwheat spinach, mushroom, feta crêpe — in an attempt to be healthier, I chose to get the buckwheat crêpe instead of regular or gluten-free. But the buckwheat made the whole crêpe super dry and thick. It felt more like eating a pancake. The mushrooms weren’t really cooked down at all so it was an odd, semi-raw mushroom mix with a bland spinach and cheese mix. Pretty disappointed. 2⁄5 Grilled chicken pesto sandwich — Chicken was cut very thin so it was a bit dry, but otherwise was probably the best thing we had. The bread was pretty tasty and had a nice crunch. 3.5÷5 Garlic Parmesan fries — too fried and too oily. There was a lot of garlic, but the Parmesan cheese wasn’t shredded or melted on to the fries. They were just little squares of cheese, so I had to really struggle to pick up the cheese bits and garlic with the fries… 2⁄5

Had the bacon, avacado and swiss omelet. Omelet was very light and fluffy. Fruit salad had fresh fruit too. Definitely will eat here again

i like their gluten-free crepes! In particular, there is a shrimp and avocado crêpe that I love. They also have things like burgers and fries for non-crêpe eaters. It is small and has the feel of a deli – you order at the counter and they bring the food to you. It’s very small and casual.

Sweet Pea’s is unequivocally one of the best restaurants in the Bay Area! Neither my husband nor myself have ever been disappointed with anything we’ve ever ordered here. The crepes? Absolutely scrumptious. And the quiche? Literally the best quiche I’ve ever had. It is *everything*. The breakfast items are equally as delicious and the sandwiches are top-notch. The staff always delivers a high level of customer service, super friendly and attentive. We love, love, love Sweet Pea’s. Highly recommended.

Absolutely love this place! Everything is just delicious. You can choose from savory crepes such as chicken and pesto(a person favorite) or a sweet crêpe with excellent homemade whipped cream. They have breakfast specials such as the crêpe benedict which is another personal favorite, as well as delicious burgers with amazing garlic fries(or regular fries), and quiches. The staff is very friendly and clearly enjoy their job. The place is very small, so it can be hard to find seating, but the staff will help you and clean the tables every time. Prices are very fair considering the quality of food. Food usually takes about 10 – 15 min to make — they’re efficient. A family favorite breakfast place!

I like the food here but it is under-seasoned. I asked the handsome young man at the cash register to ask the chef to cook the spinach more but he spaced out and it didn’t happen. I asked for two containers of the mushroom sauce but that didn’t happen, either. What would make it perfect: Cook the spinach well. Salt it, and the mushrooms, too. Pour some of that mushroom sauce into the crêpe. Then serve it with more of the sauce.

Had the chicken and pesto crêpe. Loved it from the first bite. I actually blurted out, «Oh my god. Holy ****» Very savory and used a great combination of textures. Also got 2 apple cinnamon crepes; take-out for the family. You can either do sit-down or take-out. Most orders take about 10 – 15 minutes. Sit-down:You order and pay at the front. Take the number they give you and put it on the edge of the table where they can see it. Take-out:You order. In about 10 minutes someone wanders around trying to find who the order belongs to. You grab it and go. The staff seems really laid back and slightly flaky but since this isn’t a stuffy place with a waiter and catered to service, that works. I watched a lot of picky eaters trying to do super specific orders and it really just confused the staff. Unless your request is don’t put X ingredient in or switch X ingredient with Y ingredient, you may need to consider a different type of restaurant. This place is all about the food being amazing and the restaurant being super clean. The service is fast and uncomplicated. I would definitely go there again.

Just modern enough, just old enough! I ordered the Belgian waffle combo; eggs and bacon were literally perfect. Waffle was amazing. Wife ordered the chicken artichoke crêpe — proportionate blend of ingredients, fresh ingredients, and healthy natural ingredients. This ain’t no Denny’s! Personal contact between staff and tabled keeps you feeling warm and attended to. Owner is involved with the orders. 5 stars for the food. Heads up! Things to know in advance. Eclectic facility: the line is in the back not the front. Don’t stand in the wrong line. :) Place your order, get a number, sit down. They don’t wait on you. Good is healthy, condiments are standard-issue. If you have any super-special habits, like«100% maple syrup» instead of ye’ ol’ maple syrup, 100% cage free ketchup, or hand picked mustard from Felton only,” they don’t have them. They’re standard issue. One poor soul is taking all the orders, you’ll be standing a while.

Sweet Pea’s is my favorite place for a strawberry and cream crêpe. I love that they are located right before the Capitola Mall. I grab a quick bit to eat, then on my way to do some shopping. Their parking isn’t always the easiest to get in and out, but is well worth the struggle. Great Customer service. Always greeted with a smile.

Completely flavorless and terrible service. My husband came in for takeout breakfast, placed an order and then waited for 30+ minutes before complaining, only to be told his food had been ready for a while, sitting on the counter getting cold while no one bothered to let him know. He brings it home and it’s cold and completely flavorless, not to mention my order was wrong(ordered the crab and shrimp omelette with tomatoes and onions added, they forgot the onions). I tried adding salt and pepper(because there was literally none on my dish, no seasoning whatsoever), and that didn’t help. Ended up throwing it all away and had to get food from somewhere else because it was inedible. I don’t even know how it’s possible to mess up eggs and shrimp and crab but somehow Sweet Pea has figured it out. Avoid this place.

On our way to the beach, we stopped here for a brunch because we wanted to check out what the crêpe hype all about. Seafood for breakfast? Why not?! I seafood so i ordered the Crêpe Crab Benni! Fresh crab with Avo, poached egg and hollandaise sauce, it waaaasss divine! The crab is so fresh and no smell at all! The sauce was delicious and flavorful and exactly as I have hoped for. My husband ordered the crab and shrimp jack omelette and he said it was good too! We had the lemon custard crêpe, which will definitely cleanse your palate after eating seafood! It has a creamy citusy a lil hint of tartness, it was surprisingly good! My sis in law got a Ham benni crêpe, i was at awe because they really packed the crêpe an inch thick of the meat! Delicious as well!

Such a cute place! I’ve known about it for years, but finally decided to check it out. The location is bigger than it looks. Food was amazing! I ordered the Nutella, Strawberry and Banana Crêpe, and everything tasted fresh. Can’t wait go to back!

I had lunch here with my parents last month. There was a nice Groupon deal for this place, and its crêpes were highly recommended, so my family decided to come here. After all, the last time we visited Capitola was almost ten years ago! Sweet Pea’s Café offers a large selection of crêpes, sandwiches and omelettes. Per family tradition, the three of us each ordered something different to share: the tuna sandwich, the bacon cheddar burger and the shrimp, crab, avocado & Jack omelette. Everything was pretty good — just as expected — but the omelette was by far the most delicious. While the omelette was also the most expensive item we ordered, the price was still fairly low compared to that of similar items at other restaurants. The funny thing was that we had intended to order one of the crêpes instead of omelette, but that’s certainly not a mistake we regret. Food aside, the service was extremely fast. I had barely cleared a few levels in Angry Birds when the food arrived. The only issue with this place is that the seating is somewhat limited, but that’s a minor nitpick. This was a great dining experience, and we’d definitely eat here on a regular basis if Capitola wasn’t so far from our house. – TL;DR version – Highs: Excellent omelettes; amazingly low prices Lows: Somewhat limited seating Final verdict: Sweet Pea’s Café provides some of the best food in Capitola at extremely affordable prices. Bottom line: 4.5 stars(rounded up to five)

My husband says 4 stars, I say 3– I write the Unilocal reviews though and I say 3! We ordered the crepes Benny, a Nutella banana crêpe and coffee. Coffee– good quality and organic fair trade, but not hot. Crepes eggs Benny– ok in my opinion. Just not tons of flavor but my husband thought. It was good. Crêpe Nutella– yummy! This was my favorite part of the meal. Served w/real whipped cream too. Overall, it wasn’t bad, however I wouldn’t come racing back for another meal.

We went to lunch here and it was fantastic. I had the chicken and pesto crêpe and it was huge! I was worried it wouldn’t be filling but I was pleasantly surprised. I asked for a buckwheat crêpe just because I’ve never had it but they did make a mistake and use a gluten free crêpe. It was a good mistake though because I preferred that. My boyfriend had a burger with fresh and caramelized onions, gorgonzola cheese… oh my gosh, I don’t remember the exact name but it was SOGOOD. I’ll attach a photo. He also had garlic fries on the side. I did find the large slices of unmelted cheese a bit odd on top of the fries but they were ok. Nothing like the boardwalk’s garlic fries though :)
