My partner recently bought a house in the santa cruz mountains. Used Old republic as the title company. Leslie Alvarez was who we finally ended up working with after being passed around to 2 other escrow officers during the process (one of whom apparently went on vacation without telling us or passing our case on to another officer). Some of the worst communication I’ve experienced in a professional setting. The overall impression we got from Old Republic was that they were far to busy to get back to us with even the most basic questions. For a first time home buyer– this is definitely not the kind of experience you want. We will DEFINITELY be going elsewhere when we sell our place.
