U-Haul Moving & Storage at Central Ave

Let’s start with the worker eating pancakes at the cashiers desk. It took over 30 minutes just to check the truck out. Then the truck was given to me with only a quarter tank of gas! Do not use these clowns.

Got my uhaul and fuel gauge wasn’t matching with what was in the computer system. Guy who brought the truck did the walk around with me and noticed that the fuel was annotated incorrectly. He placed a note on my documents and had me initial next to it. I replaced the gas to where I got it, but I was still charged $ 35.00 for fuel. Tried to call to get charge removed from my credit card, but was placed on hold for at least 10 mins each time I called back. Finally called corporate office and they opened a file for me to get my money back.
Staff is unprofessional, need some customer service training or needs to quit because they act as if they hate their jobs. Try another uhaul facility, maybe you will get better service and employees that pay attention to what they are doing.

I visited this U-​Haul location to purchase three propane tanks. It took all three people working there approximately fifteen minutes waiting on only me to tell me «we have three (20lb) propane tanks, but they’re the display so we can’t ring them up.» So i run two minutes down the street to Lowes, pick up a couple empty tanks ($ 5 cheaper, too), and bring them back to be filled (tank refill costs less per gallon than tank exchange). The employees that I interacted with were not friendly (barely said two words to me, despite me being courteous to them) and seemed poorly trained to ring up the things that I needed. When I told them that I got the tanks from Lowes (a 2 minute drive down 214), they told me that there is a Home Depot around the corner that I could’ve walked to. I guess they thought that information wouldn’t be useful when they first told me that they didn’t have any tanks to sell.
Long story short, I saved 25 cents per gallon for the refill instead of a tank exchange, but when you take into account that the two tanks totaled 9 gallons, I’d much rather pay $ 2.25 more for a tank exchange with better customer service than they offer at the Central Avenue U-​Haul.

I had a really bad experience with this facility. The staff is not friendly and should really be trained on providing better customer service.
