US Post Office

This place is filthy and takes forever !! Go elsewhere if you have the pleasure of reading this.

This post office is like a dream come true. The longest I’ve ever waited in line was about a minute. The workers smile, look you in the eye, and connect with you – yes, they really do! They are helpful and pleasant, and they always make small talk with me. Today I certified-​mailed off a college application and the worker said «I’m going to stamp it (with the PO name) twice for good luck.» Aww!
Once I went inside right as it was closing. Instead of kicking me out, they said «Oh, you were inside the door before we closed, we can still help you.» Seriously, have you ever heard such generosity from the government?
Maybe the best thing about this post office is that it’s in a building next to a martial arts studio, so it’s very easy to overlook and most people go to Dana Point to send out their mail. (Go there if you like long lines and impersonal service.)
