Beautiful view no doubt, but it’s out on the deck where they allow smoking and when they have the doors open to the patio basically the entire place stinks. That was my first impression, the smell. The bartender was great though(some big blonde/red haired guy) and so were our drinks. They have fresh squeezed grapefruit juice that is killer. Their menu is small and like just about every other bar menu I’ve seen so we didn’t eat. Had a few drinks and moved on for dinner up the coast. Nothing overly impressive but not terrible either. Best thing about it was that’s it’s very unpretentious, which is a nice break when you just feel like having a few drinks and relaxing.

This is a great spot right across the street from the Pacific Ocean. Very large outside patio for seating and views are stunning. Draws a semi-younger crowd for this area but it’s always a good vibe the multiple times I’ve been there. There is a pool table and a dart board and plenty of TV’S if you’re looking to have some drinks and watch a sporting event. Drink prices are reasonable for the area and the staff is always friendly and professional. I believe the gentlemen I have dealt with is Joey and he’s always great and provides excellent service. The bathrooms are also very clean and don’t smell like a men’s locker room which is always a plus! You can smoke on the outside patio and there is a lot of seating on the patio. It can get a little chilly some nights with the ocean breeze so possibly bring a jacket just in case depending on the time of year. I will definitely be coming back to this place as the vibe is always friendly and laid back! CHEERS

The name says it all. Great discovery when we took the coast home from the Getty & decided to try to find a quick place for a bite & a drink to watch the sunset. My wife suggested Paradise Cove, but it was packed, so we made our way up a little further to Sunset Bar & Grill & I can’t say I regret it. In fact, service was great, it was not packed — I’m sure it’s not as great if packed, since it’s a small place. But, we had the perfect sunset & the food was pretty good too. Best stop for a sunset meal from Venice to Ventura.

Walked in and out. Not our style, it’s a younger working class vibe. I&

Other bartenders may be good… They may even be great, but they will never be Joey. Sunsets has an amazing staff overall, but Joey has earned a special place in our hearts/wallets/glasses. If you’re not a beer person, try the Hendricks Tom Collins. If you’re hungry, go for the burger, nachos or poke. Play pool but don’t be a jerk, it’s a fun community table. We’re here a lot. That will continue :)

I went to sunsets for happy hour. Had a great evening with great friends great drinks and great food. The head bartender/manager Joey served us our drinks and our food and made the evening really fun. He made us some special designer drinks that were off the charts I would highly recommend the pizzas… And the bacon wrapped jalapeño stuffed peppers. Great place to go and just relax with friends enjoy a sunset… A game of pool or darts. I highly recommend this place for a great evening. And make sure to look up Joey… He will make you an amazing drink
