Great place to find a souvenir! I ended up buying locally made hazelnut peanut butter, a locally designed nature tee shirt, a hand made ceramic tile, and a print of Cape May. There are non local products too, but I liked the local stuff.

If you’re looking to totally geek-out and get happily lost in room after room of trinkets, antiques, home décor, unique apparel, bath products, local food products, artwork and beyond, this is the place to do it. I stumbled in on my way home from the beach one day, thinking I would grab a quick gift or two for loved ones back home. An hour later… I had fallen down the rabbit hole and was in a complete browsing blackout. There’s just SOMUCHSTUFF! And it’s mostly really fun and cute. I could do a lot more damage here if I had the time(and money — it’s not inexpensive). The last star fell off my rating because one of the staff members was just a tiny bit rude. Two of the other ones were super helpful, but one lady just left a bad taste in my mouth. I had asked a staff person on the floor if they had a bathroom, and she said«Sure, go to the front cashier and ask for the key.» When I did just that, the very stoic woman there bluntly told me the bathroom was out of order, and I could go across the street. I thought that was a little weird — like, wouldn’t all the staff members probably know if the bathroom was broken? Anyway… She was very terse again when I asked her a question about a product. A bad apple didn’t spoil the whole review, but a great overall staff would have gotten this place all 5.

Pretty eclectic selection of antiques, art, consignment and new items. Air conditioned so you can browse in comfort and spacious enough that you can spend a good enough amount of time reviewing the merchandise without bumping into fellow shoppers. I particularly liked that all of the better Cape May shops were represented here in separate booths; Exit Zero, Cape May Olive Oil, Dog Days, etc. Worth the trip over to West Cape May(not like it’s that far anyway).

Wow. This might be my favorite store in the world. An excellent mix of vintage, classy estate sales, brand new artifacts and pottery, and don’t get me started on the fantastic jewelry! I spent an hour(and made six purchases) but could have easily spent another hour! A(shopping or girls) trip to the the southern shore points is not complete without a trip here!

West End Garage is what it sounds like; a garage that’s been retrofitted into individual stalls that appear to be rented out. When I first visited the WEG years ago, it was a place for Cape May artists to sell their wares. You would find some pretty unique stuff. As time goes on, however, those Artists seemed to have relocated and left behind a group of tiny retail-store-stalls. While there is still some original art for sale, you will find a lot of prepacked nonsense, targeting the casual vacationer. If I wanted to see that kind of merchandise, I would go to a big box retail store chain. The WEG still has some of its original mystique and I would advise you go check it out at least once. I certainly hope the addition of retain nonsense stops and they get back to featuring more local artists.

One of the coolest stores i have ever been to. Basically like an indoor flea market. Take a few laps around to make sure you have seen it all. I got a vintage tea pot for my grandmother for about ½ the price of any we saw all weekend. Prices vary actually… price tags seems to either provoke a «wow really cool» or a «no f’in way», not may in the middle.

I don’t hand out 5-star reviews like breath mints at an Indian Resturaunt, but the West End Garage surely deserves one. Situated in an old car dealership, the new incarnation involves stall after stall of artisan goods, ranging from photography to home-made furniture to jewelry(lots of it) to antiques/collectables to women’s clothing to soaps to pet novelties to a dark chocolate bbq bacon candy bar to… well, can’t top that. Each stall belongs to a different seller/artist, so there is no shortage of variety or styles… probably 40 stalls total. My wife took her birthday money and had a hay day… and came back later in the afternoon for a second hay day! Of all the neat stores Cape May has to offer, this tops the list.

What a great store! I always pass by it on my way to Cape May Point but finally stopped to look in. It is a collection of stalls with varying goods — — almost like an upscale flea market. There was just about everything you could imagine in there — — - from used clothing and shoes — — - to Cape May memorabilia — — as well as works by local artists. The staff was really friendly and there were lots of things that were priced affordably.

The West End Garage should be on every shopper’s list to check out if in West Cape May. Whether looking for antiques or for Arts & Crafts, this place is enjoyable for browsing. The business is made up of lots of stalls, each containing unique selections of antiques, jewelry, clothing, paintings, crafts, books and much more. Walking throughout the building is like a passage to yesteryear reminding of things past or exploring things from beforehand. The staff is always pleasant and occasionally artists will be on hand. The walkways between stalls can be cramped when the store is busy but otherwise fine. Having made several repeat trips over the recent years, I find that they do a good job of keeping it fresh with new offerings and finds while keeping some of the regulars stalls mixed. Street parking is available and a mix of eats are within walking distance nearby.

Fun place to browse, but not buy, most things are beyond my budget or what I’m willing to pay for collectibles and novelties. Booths range from high priced and classy home décor to home-made craft-type items and yard sale rubbish. One booth was filled with merchandise straight from the Archie McPhee novelty catalog! Friendly staff are glad to assist.

Came back to West End Garage this year– still awesome! I love one of the first stalls– it has tons of pictures. I’ve been in love with this penguin picture for a year now, but I just can’t justify spending $ 30 on it. But every time I go back I think about purchasing it– maybe I will some day! On my last trip, I found a gorgeous white leather tote bag for $ 45 and a pair of sunglasses for $ 12. Some of the stalls are tacky, some are very focused(ex. a stall purely around tea), some are preppy, and some are geared for the much older crowd. Some of the stalls are overpriced, some are cheap– the diversity is all part of the fun! It’s a great place to find unique gifts(for other people or yourself!) and interesting things you wouldn’t find elsewhere. Plus– free street parking!

The West End Garage us a great way to spend a rainy day shopping for unique local artist crafts and antiques. The quality of the merchandise is original«not gift store» local artist creations and work, in addition to some tastefully done re-purposed antiques. You can expect the pricing to be slightly higher for the higher end goods. The shop attendants are very helpful and you can sometimes meet the local artist working the individual booths showcasing goods… Very well down, we hit this every time in Cape May and have purchased several items for decorations. If you go early you are next door to the Cape May Bake Shop.

An antiquers paradise awaits here, but it provides a pretty unique experience for any shopper. Be prepared to spend time browsing & perusing the endless displays of just about anything you can think of. The staff’s helpful, friendly & welcoming, which gives the place an open & relaxed atmosphere. It’s needed if you’re going to look through all the arrangements. There’s local artist paintings, postcards, vintage clothing, jewelry, sports paraphernalia, books, cards, hand painted wine glasses, the list goes on and on. I had my eye on same snappy looking beach flip flops, but they were a bit pricey. The key here is to look thoroughly. And don’t bring anyone who doesn’t like to shop.

Unique, Unique, Unique. This place is great! Supports local artists!! There are just some people with great unique talent who don’t get to showcase their work and this place is a wonderful venue for them. Not a lot of junk that you would find elsewhere. Very tastefully laid out as well, not overwhelming. Staff is very friendly, no one is pushy, and the artists are really happy when you purchase their work. There is such a wide range of things to buy. I purchased a lovely momento here to celebrate my weekend away with my dear husband. Do stop here and skip some of the same old, same old trinket stores.

This place is sooooooooooooooo cute! It’s a perfect place for buying gifts or nice things for yourself. They have jewelry, clothing, art, antiques, food, books, whimsical finds, and more. You can find something for just about anyone. In fact, I bought some gifts for my friends and a few things for myself. They also sell things by local artists. I’m willing to make the trip down to Cape May again just to go here again.

Such a cool spot down in Cape May. It’s set up like a market on the inside, with various retail booths that blend together to make it quaint. The owners are very cool and helpful. They recommended a place to eat and they allow dogs in the store. This place sells art, antiques, clothing, and more. I’ll definitely go back again because the merchandise must change often. Great for unique gifts!
