Another incarnation of the small, carefully curated, slightly overpriced, mom and pop toy store. You know, the type that inevitably pop up in trendy locations frequented by pushover parents and kids they love to spoil. I happen to be one of these parents. My children love this store, as it breaks up the monotony of being dragged to all the other non-kid-friendly stores that line Washington Square Mall. Oh hell, I love it too. I just love toys in general, as much as I did as when I was a kid. The Toy Shop of Cape May has a very nice but limited selection of toys lining the walls of its humble space. This time I managed to escape for under $ 50, but other summers have proven far more costly. If you love toys, then you’ll definitely want to pop in over here on your next trip to town.

Fun products and a really friendly, helpful staff. Always a place to have fun with my kids.

There’s something about this toy store that I like. They have some of the less familiar toys(Rush Hour, for example) than other stores. Lots of little things like magic tricks, Toy Story stuff, electronic worms, etc. Old time toys like Jacob Ladders can be found here too. Good stuff! Prior to this, it was a good non-traditional men’s clothing store. I used to purchase lots of good clothes here.

This store has the unique toys and the most friendly staff. Get really busy around 7 to 10pm.
