What a disappointment. We had visited Leamings Run in late June many(probably 20) years ago and had been«wowed» by the gardens. The flowers were at or near their peak, as one would expect at a themed garden, the areas were clearly well tended, and there were many plants that were unusual. This year, also in June, the gardens were nice, with most, but not all, of the plants in each area following the posted theme. But many of the flowers were past their prime, a few of the colors seemed mismatched for the theme, and there was nothing that popped out as special. It felt like a walk through the backyard of a person who likes to work in his or her own garden on the weekend.

Biased because we went on a 100 degree day. Its a nature walk that is also a garden at the same time. As a garden its cute, but nothing like Elizabeth park in Hartford or Brooklyn botanical garden. A nice quick walk but honestly very underwhelming. The snake garden was cute, as was the little mini waterfall and gazebo and we got good photos but honesty again, nothing to brag about. Overall took like 30 minutes tops to walk through the place and the flowers were basically store brought ones that you can find in anyone’s garden. Nothing special at all.
