Food was good and prices were fair service was a little slow because they had a wedding party at the same time so I doubt it’s that way all the time

Food is ok. They have an early bird special. But, I ordered one is the specials for the night and amazingly there was an ADDITIONAL charge for bleu cheese dressing! I have never had this happen before. Not sure if we will be back and we have been going here for years.

I would eat here again. Pretty much 2 menus: dining and bar fare

My wife took me here for my birthday .I was very surprised that there was entertainment on a Wednesday in December! they told me that they have entertainment year round. We had the scallops wrapped in bacon, they were perfectly cooked. crispy bacon on the outside and nice and tender and moist on the inside. not dried out like when you get them most the time when they try to crisp the bacon elsewhere .I had the prime rib it was really juicy and full of flavor and my wife hada special which was a fried seafood combination which was massive ! fresh home battered fish, scallops and shrimp .and for dessert we had the chocolate mousse pie apparently for my birthday. we had a great time the server and the bartender were very friendly and accommodating I will definitely come back to this restaurant again

Really a nice option when in sea isle or Avalon. On rte 9 s. Breakfast and dinner both very good. Have had tuna and prime rib both excellent! Clam casino soup is yum. Great service not the kids who are clueless working summers on the islands. Definitely recommend!

Went to the links on new years eve because it was close to home and all the good restaurants on the island are closed for the season. I cannot concur with the other two reviewers at all. First, let me say that we should have known better. The four of us that went are all in our mid thirties and the Avalon Links is a geriatric county club filled with folks so old I was hoping no one in the dinning room would expire before we finished dinner! They should probably keep a EMT on retainer and have them back the ambulance in near the front door! We were by far the youngest folks in the room. We had a reservation and when we walked in the ‘hostess’ greeted us upon arrival and said someone would seat us shortly. Isn’t that the only job a hostess has, seating people? They were out of menus even though several tables were open so we had to order drinks while we waited fro some menus to free up. Eventually we got 2 menus. My wife and I both ordered beer, which was flat. Did I mention that everyone is this place was ancient? It’s such a mecca for the aged that even the bar is a low bar with fixed swivel seats like a sleazy west Vegas casino! I would’ve made a fortune as a life alert salesman… It took an hour and a half to get our meals. When they came out the plates looked like they had been sitting under those heat lamps for most of that hour and a half. For approx. $ 25 – 35 a plate I expected a lot more. I felt bad for the friends we brought so I ordered a round of ice water to help choke down our meals. I had the prime rib which was partially inedible. The vegetables seemed cooked in a fiery cauldron and stirred by the devil himself as he laughed and waited for the blue haired dinners to join him. All in all it was a lousy meal. Especially for the price. The wait staff was good enough but not great. I haven’t waited that long for such a low quality meal ever! I would have rather hit up the wawa for an Italian sub. Happy New Year!

In search of something different? Tired of paying upwards of $ 100 for(2) entrees, two drinks and NO sides in Avalon proper? Leave the island! Avalon Links Restaurant fits the bill and only minutes south, down Route 9. Top shelf martini and beer – $ 15. Quick seating at the table following our drinks. Rosie, our waitress – a delight. All entrees came with two sides and a salad, all homemade dressings. Highly recommend the Thousand island and creamy French. They don’t skimp on the dressing! Varied menu, but a Pick Two(entrée) Shrimp, strip steak, scallops, crabcake – $ 23.99 with choice of two sides. I had the strip steak and scallops – scallops were sweet, tender and delicious. Steak, a tad charred but flavor was great. My husband had the tuna, with wasabi cucumber sauce, very good. Ask to sit on the patio, you have a nice view of the golf course. Out of there with two drinks – one top shelf, with tip – $ 94.

I was just a bridesmaid in a wedding and both the ceremony and reception were held here. The event coordinator, Ashton, was very attentive and she nailed every detail that the ultra-organized bride had planned out. The ceremony took place on the green under a pretty arbor. Guests were seated in white folding chairs. The reception space is a pretty banquet hall with large windows facing the golf course. It’s the perfect size for 80 – 120 guests. The staff was very pleasant. Dinner was a buffet and consisted of salad, fresh dinner rolls, asparagus(very good), green beans(not my thing), baked ziti(good), mashed potatoes(AMAZING), stuffed flounder(AMAZING), chicken cordon bleu(I heard it was great) and a filet mignon carving station(boyfriend said it was excellent). I would definitely recommend ALR for a wedding.
