Friendly staff. They have things that you can’t find elsewhere in Cape. Great little store!

Pacific Rim is a small Asian market in Cape Girardeau. They have almost everything I need to make Vietnamese food. They also have a fair selection of Indian, Chinese, Thai, and Japanese ingredients. I was pleasantly surprised to find Kaffir lime leaves, galangal root, star anise, and fresh phở noodles here! There is a nice variety of pre-​packaged Asian noodles and Indian food to bring to work for lunch on my lazy days when I don’t feel like cooking.
The owners are friendly and strive to have what you are looking for in stock. If they do not have an item available, they are good about informing you when they will have a new shipment. For example, I needed Thai basil to make phở and I called them and they did not have it in stock. One of the owners told me she would be back the next day from Chicago with fresh Thai basil and to call her after work and she would have it ready for me. Talk about great, personalized customer service! Come and support this wonderful, local shop!

The selection is pretty extensive. Many different Asian regions are represented here.
I needed sushi rice and nori (the dried sheets of seaweed to go around sushi rice).
I also wanted boba. They have two different kinds! They have the black, large boba premade in a jar with syrup. They have the small, white dried kind available, too. At last I can have bubble tea in Cape Girardeau (even if I have to make it myself).
The employee was awesome.
There is lot parking, but not a lot.
Prices were reasonable.
