When Hastings first opened in Cape in the early 90’s it was wonderful! However, sadly to say, it has continually went downhill over the years. When they started selling used items was when they started a long decline they have not come out of. My last visit this week was horrible! Both the book and music areas have been shrunk so small you can hardly find them. The rest of the store is like an abysmal cave, there is so much crap piled everywhere. And clean??? That is a word they have obviously never heard of. The book section is so disorganized it would have to be sheer luck to find anything. The rest of the store is no better with debris strewn on the floor as if no employee ever has thought it might be a nice idea to pick it up. I wish I would have taken pictures. My last and final visit was at 6pm on 2÷24÷14. I will never return!
