Went on a Sunday night and it was jammed with people. A popular place. We were able to get a seat at the bar upstairs which is outside with a good view of the port with cruise ships coming and going. Great view. The wife had chicken tacos which were ok. Nothing extra special. I had the fish and chips which was again ok but not exceptional. Was expecting a little better. The bar and view is excellent but was a little disappointed by the food. However this is a good place with a great view and a party type atmosphere. A great place for drinks and an appetizer.

I always like to begin reviews with the good stuff but it started poorly and just kept going. We walked in and there were at least three young girls chatting with one another. When one broke away to show us attention, I told her we have never been there before. She asked us where we wanted to sit. I told her again we had never been there and didn’t know the options. My young son wanted to watch boats so I told her that. She said we could sit anywhere. I asked if the upstairs was kid-friendly and she said yes, «the whole place is.» That whole exchange was completely pointless. As I reach the top I realize I’m suddenly that parent who just took their kid to a bar complete with super loud music. We head right back downstairs and asked if we could be seated somewhere that was appropriate for kids. Of course the three young women all appeared irritated with my request for a seat, but sat us very dismissively. Our waiter Benjamin was friendly and super efficient. The food was ok but my steak was cooked poorly. It was rare in spots, nearly burnt in others, and just full chunks of fat around it. We walked outside to watch a cruise ship go by and despite a sign indicating no smoking, there were many people smoking there. Now for the super bad parts — while in the bathroom I witnessed a waitress leave the bathroom stall after using it and not wash her hands. I felt so grossed out. Then I get back to the table and notice a dead bug stuck in the fake flower arrangement on the table. This place has a very large portion dedicated to merchandise, and even a little art gallery kind of place. There were paintings of Disney characters very low on the walls with a sign that said«do not touch». Why put paintings at child’s eye level then? The whole place seemed like it needed one of those restaurant make-over shows. Definitely a great spot for a drink if you like those kind of places. Lunch on a weekday however should be spent elsewhere.

Laura was a very nice bartender. I was happy to find Jai Lai on tap. The Yellow fin tuna sandwich came with buffalo mozzarella and roasted red peppers. Best sandwich ever. Beer batter French fries didn’t even need ketchup. Don’t go to Grills when in Port Canaveral. Go to Fishlips.

Food and drinks have always been great and I haven’t seen a bad band yet. Outside bar tenders are always on top of things.

To be fair, this is more of a 3.5 star review. The bartenders were nice and had knowledge of the beers on tap as well as real opinions on the food which helped us with ordering. We got a dozen oysters for $ 15, not bad! They were great but I wish they would have had regular tabasco sauce instead of only offering their own brand of hot sauce. Then we each a cup of lobster bisque… which was also amazing– and huge… i cant even imagine what the size of the bowl would have been. We like variety so we went on to order the shark bites– yuck… tastes like not good chicken nuggets… or overbattered fish nuggets. Either way– awful. We didn’t eat them. We also had the shrimp wrapped in bacon — delicious(too bad they didnt wrap those shark bites with bacon bc bacon makes everything better) And last, we had fried calamari.. it was just average. We sat upstairs, very cool location-tiki bar style. This was a Sunday, I would love to go back on a Friday or Saturday night to hang out.

The server went above her duties when substituting my order. I loved that she knew the menu and our beverages were refilled well before the glasses were empty. I ordered sashimi grade seared ahi tuna. This was just a touch over seared. It was supposed to be accompanied with white rice, but I received it with mushroom risotto that was a bit dry and seemed to me to need a little more flavoring. My only disappointment is that we had to ask for bread/crackers. My companion ordered the blackened mahi mahi fish tacos(a suggestion from our server). He was pleasantly surprised to find out that it wasn’t spicy like he thought being blackened.

WOW — service by Forest was perfection at it’s finest. attentive, helpful and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we could possibly want. He even picked up on it being a birthday at the table and brought out a small cake at the end of dinner. ALL the seafood was to die for! And the bartenders upstairs AND downstairs were fantastic!

I came here with three friends from Titusville tonight. I’ll start off by saying we’ve been here before, and liked it, but tonight both the service and the food were terribly lacking. We received clearly unclean silverware, the food didn’t come out together(which wasn’t a big deal) but when asking for a refill on water we had to wait 15 minutes. This is a long time when eating hot wings. Our waiter had no sense of urgency and seemed a bit«lost.» Perhaps he was new or just recovering from a New Year’s Eve party. It was odd how the chicken wings were served; they come deep fried, without seasoning or covered in hot sauce — the sauce comes in a cup on the side and you have to coat the outside yourself. The Ribeye tasted like a regular steak without any seasoning and little flavor. The oily Red Snapper should be renamed«Rubber Snapper» being that it was the most oily, flavorless and chewy filet of fish I’ve ever had. The crab cake and the snow crab were okay though. We were asked if everything was okay after our meal, when the server eyed the barely-touched fish, so we told him that it wasn’t prepared well to which he agreed when we showed him how tough the fish was by using the fork to pull it apart. He made no attempt to contact his manager or comp that part of the meal. Our table spent $ 93, not including tips, but I feel that neither the food nor the service was worth half of what we spent tonight.

We come from Orlando twice a month to get the early specials before 6 pm. Great atmosphere great prices and the view is nice especially in the evening. We love it. We always have the muscles and shark bites.

I’ve been here 3 or 4 times in the last 2 years as part of a large group, and have enjoyed every visit. They handle a crowd well, and their service never suffers. And because the food is always fresh & plentiful, we’ll be back. On this visit, last Thursday, we estimated a group of around 20, so I called a couple of days ahead to reserve tables. As we would be eating after a launch viewing, with many of our group coming from different areas, I also asked how flexible the 8pm time was for them, in case we were able to come earlier or ended up arriving even later. No problem! Fishlips is very experienced with accommodating large groups with undefined schedules… ESPECIALLY those planning around finicky launch windows. As it turned out, the launch was scrubbed at the end of the window due to weather, so about half of us were able to get to Fishlips early. I called as we were walking out of KSCVC, and spoke with James, the manager, who told me he would indeed be able to seat us sporadically within about a half hour. This was perfect, since parts of our group would have longer travel times. As it turned out, we had 24 people total, but still no problem for Fishlips! Once our group spanned 3 tables, a second server began helping us as well. As per usual at Fishlips, the food was delicious — always fresh & perfectly cooked, with large portions that I can never finish. They even had a couple of drink specials that some of us took advantage of. In the past, I have enjoyed their fried haddock & fried shrimp meals, but on this night, I was in the mood for a burger. And I was not disappointed! Cooked exactly as requested, it was juicy and flavorful. Others at my table also enjoyed their dishes — I didn’t hear of one complaint. And because this group of people revolves around NASA Social, I knew everyone would let me take a photo of their food. Even though most don’t Unilocal, they *get it*. We were seated on the upstairs deck, which is always surprisingly comfortable regardless of the Florida weather. Overlooking Port Canaveral, we could see ships coming and going throughout our meal. When we first arrived, the live music was a bit loud for socializing, but the set finished a few minutes later, so no worries. We had a great dinner with old friends & new, thanks to Fishlips.

I stopped in with my girlfriend after the Space Coast Art Festival for drinks and a light appetizer. I drank an Angry Orchard while my girlfriend got a fruity smoothie mixed drink with whipped cream which I thought might actually have tasted better without the alcohol. We snacked on a platter of a dozen raw oysters($ 15.95) which were large and filling but standard. Besides the acceptable fare, what really brought my rating down was the service which began terrible but did get better. The first bar tender/waiter(since we were eating at the upstairs bar) took joking offense to our needing a drink menu and failed to deliver my drink after being asked twice despite the fact that the bar was full but not busy(4pm). Getting exasperated, we instead tried ordering from a different bar tender who was much more attentive for the rest of the meal and brought this rating up from a quickly falling 2 to just barely a 3. The location is nice and you can view cruise ships sailing by at Port Canaveral from up close. That said, there are a number of other seafood restaurants and bars in the area that I’ll be trying over this one the next time I’m in the area.

We checked in here because we were really craving oysters after exploring the art festival. We sat upstairs in sports bar area at the bar and ordered some drinks while we waited for the oysters to come out. I ordered a berry piña colada drink that was pretty good and the oysters were pretty good for a not-fancy-oyster place. The bartender/waiter was really nice and attentive. The upstairs bar is a cool place to sit and watch the ships roll by. Two cruise ships sailed past while we were here and we waved at the passengers. Definitely a nice place to come chill mid-day on a weekend.

This place was recommended by the hotel as being one of the«nicer» restaurants in the area. I guess«nice» is a subjective term. There are two levels of the restaurant serving the same menu: the sports bar upstairs and the regular dining room downstairs. We unfortunately chose the sports bar area. The downstairs did not look to be very«nice» by my standards. The atmosphere in the sports bar area was filled with what seemed to be local folks. A few middle aged single women and a number of groups of men who knew the others in their groups and some crossover between groups as they mingled. Locals or at least regulars I’m guessing. The crowd was not particularly refined, if you know what I mean. The food was equally unrefined. The calamari was extremely greasy. We had to use several napkins to soak of the excess oil to make it somewhat edible. I had the sesame crusted tuna. It was definitely of inferior quality to be serving at a «seafood» restaurant directly on the ocean. It was something you’d expect from a seafood place in Kansas for instance. My partner had the broiled grouper which was at least somewhat tasty though the fish had several bones in it. He also ordered asparagus rather than the broccoli. Unfortunately the asparagus was overcooked to a texture of what you might expect from canned asparagus — the most awful food I’ve ever put in my mouth. Incidentally, the other thing that was annoying is that the ice tea was so weak it seemed more like a glass of only slightly brown water — as if you’d mixed a 1⁄3 good class of tea with 2⁄3 water. The service was«okay». Our waiter’s opening line was«all these pretty girls waiting tables and you got stuck with the fat guy». The attempt at humor was fully sexist and partially self deprecating. I replied that we weren’t there to check out the women. Upon ordering unsweetened tea, he replied, «would you like sweetener or are you just going to stick your finger in it», implying that we were«sweet»(gay). Another waitress noticed that I was checking the tea and she asked if there was something wrong. I replied the tea was kind of weak. She replied that it probably was. No attempt to rectify it or ask if we’d like something else was made. When our waiter was told the reason why the special request of asparagus wasn’t eaten, he also did nothing to make amends for that mistake. Overall, I’d give the atmosphere a 7 out 10(generous but we did choose the sports bar side and it does have a lot of TVs showing sports) Food: 3 out of 10. It came out hot at least. Service: 5 out of 10 — also generous but they did at least notice that we weren’t thrilled with the food. All in all — try something else if you have any sort of desire for a «good» restaurant experience.

I would love to tell you about the food here, unfortunately I am addicted to their Cobb Salad and have never ordered anything else. Twice a month I make the drive to Port Canaveral to get my fix. This salad is loaded with chicken(blackened for me), bleu cheese crumbles, black olives, crispy bacon, onions, a whole hard boiled egg and comes with a bread stick. Try it, you will be back.

The food was very good and service was fast and friendly. The steak sandwiches the wife and son ordered were a great deal. $ 12 for a steak sandwich, no brainer … Lightly seasoned any tasted like steak and very tender. Our burgers were good but a little pricey @$ 9 but all cooked exactly like everyone ordered. Our waitress was fast, friendly and very polite. We were informed when we arrived that the upstairs had football on and was very noisy, so we opted to stay downstairs after a rough night before. The inside was clean and huge windows overlook the port. We started dining outside but with 20+ mph winds we decided on indoors. It’s the second time we have been there in the past year and would definitely go back again.

I’ve been to Fishlips quite a few times, most recently to watch the game with my husband. It was absolutely packed upstairs at the bar, so we found a table on the deck. I was hoping they would clean the obviously dirty table before we ate there, but they did not. That’s really my only complaint though, the food was good, the service was exceptional especially for being so busy, and the ambiance was great. I enjoyed watching all the cruise ships go by! I had the boneless buffalo chicken salad. There was not a lot of lettuce at all, but once I got into eating the wings I forgot about the lettuce anyway. My husband had the mahi sandwich, which he liked a lot. I stole a few of his sweet potato waffle fries, they were amazing! This is definitely on my list of cool places to go and watch the game, I’ll be back for sure.

Best oysters I have ever had, clean, fresh and shucked great. Oh and fantastic conch fritters… list of conch in them. I had Snapper Oscar. It was really good. First time in a long time I wasn’t grossed out by fish skin.
