Burger was good. Didn’t want mayo. Fries came with three tiny packets of ketchup. Which proved half up to the task. The person that served it is disgusting. She cooked my burger and served my beer. After she is walking around with a bottle of toilet bowl cleaner(in the back, presumably cleaning toilets) and mopping the floor, she served my beer and I saw her open my beer. She turned her hand around the opened bottle at the top. As if to clean it with her bare toilet mop hands. She is the only worker and also cooked my lunch. She went from toilets straight to mopping then straight to my beer and rubbed her hand around the part I put my mouth on. WTF? She was friendly though.

They are now the Dam Red Barn. Went for dinner at reccomendation of family. At 430pm there was karaōke. 2 gentlemam hosting in a practically empty building-singing outdated songs from the 60s &70s-not likely to attract the younger crowd. We were a group of five and could not converse over the din of the karaōke system. The menus appear old and the Smoked Meat selections were scratched out by ball point pen. It would appear they have adopted the same menu as the previous owner sans the barbeque. Wait staff was initially friendly but inefficient and got annoyed when we sat waiting for condiments and silverware after food was delivered-despite there being ample time during the 30 minutes we waited for the food. The 2 in our party who got burgers enjoyed them. The black and bleu burger required knife and fork-too sloppy to pick up. Another liked the chicken salad sandwich. However the club sandwich was plain and the bacon cold. Fried fish and catfish were cooked well but unfortunately tasteless– no discernable seasoning in the cornmeal. We also shared our meal with about 20 flies. Dam Red Barn has potential once the new owners adopt an identity and get their liqour license.

Nice place to grab a drink after some hot lake action. Kind of a large dive, but not a terrible beer selection. Plenty of room for boot-scootin, juke box, stage in one corner(assuming they have live music on occasion) and a lot of fresh air, due to the many open garage doors and windows in the place. I got really shitfaced here once. The floors are kinda slippery. Luckily, I have the balance of a cat, and the reflexes of a mongoose. Bask in my awesomeness. What was I talking about?

Went for a brief checkout on a boring Thursday evening. Nobody there, few people showed up as we left. Adjacent to the Canyon Lake Dam; also has a RV park nearby, small and simple. Large barn bar! No air conditioning, but massive fans to cool you down. Free peanuts and possibly other snacks. Two pool tables, a few gambling video machines. Couple TV’s. Plenty of seating! Advertised live music on Saturday night.
