Excellent prices and a good variety. A family feel with a bit of a Mediterranean twist on some of the food. There are also some health conscious options on the menu.

Great breakfasts at Jimmy’s Café! The bowls and breakfast sandwiches are awesome and priced reasonable. Friendly and fast service. Love that we can eat in or take it to go at our office. Perfect lunch spot too — sandwiches on the grill are the bomb!

Jimmy’s Café is a classic breakfast spot in Canyon Lake with a twist. That twist includes the plethora of breakfast bowl options. Jimmy’s Café is not your run of the mill greasy spoon because they offer some healthy options for a reasonable price. Some of those healthy options include brown rice, ground turkey, and egg whites.
There were four in our group and two in the group went healthier than the rest of us. The Hercules Bowl, for example, came with three egg whites, ground turkey, and brown rice. The mixture of the three ingredients was excellent and filling for only $ 7.00.
For those, like me, who require a greater caloric intake, try one of the omelets. Both the Denver and Veggie omelets with «real» eggs were very tasty and well-​worth the $ 7.00. The omelet plates also come with classic hash browns and toast.
I had a chance to watch the food preparation, and the cook was very deliberate and did a great job for a simple breakfast. The cashier was also friendly, and we did not have to wait very long for our food. Jimmy’s Café is definitely worth a second trip.

Went in yesterday for lunch then decided to try a breakfast burrito. First let me say the place is nice and clean and the people behind the counter were very nice and accommodating. Okay back to the food, my burrito was bland and pretty small although it was filled end to end. I asked the cook if he could make the burrito with bacon, egg and cheese. He said sure no problem. Well, I guess hash browns were part of their burritos personally I don’t care for that but it is what it is. Hey their salsa was GOOD; at least that gave the burrito some flavor. I don’t think I’ll be back because like other reviewers there are a lot of places that are better. So go or don’t go it’s up to you. Wasn’t bad but in my opinion there other options.

This place is pretty good. Food was freshly made as soon as you order. But the place it self didn’t seem that clean. I would put more love an attention if I was the owner.

I was here for breakfast. The food was amazing, no waiting and the employees are very nice and friendly. I will definitely go back.

It’s OK. Simple menu, prices reasonable, nothing outstanding. A little smile and personality would help. Stress level of employees is up a notch more than I care for. Been there 2 – 3 times. No breakfast without meat. Ice tea is decent.

Very good meal reasonably priced a definite gem hidden away in a shopping center. Its modest exterior is accentuated by it’s comfortable interior. I found the staff friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be back.

And I can add pancakes for $ 2.50.
2 pancakes, 2 bacon or sausage, hash browns and eggs for $ 7.50!!! Prices are not bad. Love the fact they got plastic plates instead of the paper. looks better and my food stays hot.

Great food, made fresh as you order it. Very reasonible prices… nothing close by compares. They only make breakfast and lunch, but both are done well. My girlfriend and I can have a nice breakfast or lunch for around $ 15.00? (2 meals and drinks) And they bring it to your table. You throw away your trash and tips aren’t expected… same thing at Dennys is $ 22 plus 4 for a tip, and this food is better. Great local place to eat…

First time visit to Jimmy’s. Nothing fancy but a very nice breakfast and lunch place. Great menu with a lot of variety. I got the Greek omelet which comes with pita bread or toast and hashbrowns. For $ 8 it was perfect size and very good. I would have enjoyed a fruit option instead of the hashbrowns. The owner Evan, not Jimmy, walked around and talked to the customers. Nice! Very nice guy. I’ll be back to check out one of the many burger selections.

Whatever it is you’re in the mood for this is the place. It’s mom and popish, it never takes too long to get a table and the food is incredible! I’m half way through with my pastrami and I felt the need to write a review… Best pastrami sandwich I’ve ever had. I know, you’re chuckling… Try it and you will see.

Can’t beat their prices. The food is good and cheap. Good alternative to fast food but not really a formal sit down restaurant.

We went here on a Tuesday around 11 am for breakfast. It was my youngest son, 11 & my 8 year old Nephew. I thought it was cool the way you order and help yourself to your purchased drinks. It kinda reminds me of a fast food layout but with homemade food thats made to order.
The food was good, nothing Amazing but none the less good. Kinda like something you slap together on a Sunday morning. But the prices are cheap
And i was pleased with both the price and food.
They were fast and friendly, though the lady behind the counter is nice she has that know it all Mom knows best kinda attitude … I bet if I asked her if she liked my tattoos she would say something like –sure i guess but when your old they will look horrible.- lol. Smile and nod. what i wasn’t happy about was when she has to hd type in my
CC info cause the machine wasn’t working right and she proceeded to out loud say each number on my card in fours as she typed it in and them followed with the expiration date as well!!! Bad habit for her! She also ignored us when we we ready to place our order while she counted money that was being added to her register by her boss (who had already walked off). Now i get this but she counted it three times as she kept missing bills, her miscounting. By the second time at least tell us it will be a moment or set it aside as it was only ones … –like29 of them! Or take our order.
So after breakfast with it being so hot the kids decided they wanted to have a A softserve ice cream cone but the lady had just pour the mix in and it wasn’t cold yet. she told us it would be like 10 minutes so we waited and waited some more. 10 minutes has passed and the kids had asked like five time it it was ready and she kept saying one more minute on the minute not realizing that we might have something else to do today. so a little while into this the owner and Jimmy got wind of what was going on and asked me if I had to go to work or had anything I was doing because it would be a couple more minutes and that he was very sorry I told him we had a few minutes that we could wait a bit longer since we already waited so longfinally the kids asked again and he went to go check on it and I could hear him telling the waitress that we shouldn’t have to wait and so then he came back over to my table and said it would be a while for the ice cream to be ready because the machine was having problems and that he was a 20 on money and I’m top of that give us extra money for ice cream at the store next-​door which is very kind of him and I think is great great great customer service we understand your scene breakdown added to the cool when a business can back up their customer service add the care of the customers and it’s way so I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a good meal and good customer service at the same time!!!

I just had the best egg and cheese sandwich on rye I have had in a long time. It was only $ 3. Next time I think I will have them add some jalapeños. YUM

I am really sad that I don’t totally love this place. It is close and we desperately need better restaurants in the area. I got a Mediterranean type wrap and my husband got a breakfast bowl and we got a side of chili cheese fries to share. Breakfast bowl and the chili cheese fries were tiny portions. My 3 year-​old niece could have finished the breakfast bowl and still been hungry. Flavors were not all that fantastic, very generic and something I could make better at home.

Went yesterday for the first time. Had the muscle maker burrito.
Delicious and fresh. Will go back.

I live in the lake and have never tried Jimmy’s Café until today. Sign says Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. I walk in and was greeted with «we close in 3 minutes so if you want something it has to be to go». Oh, hello to you too! I was still wondering who eats dinner at 3… We ordered 2 breakfast burritos which were tiny. My daughter thought hers was okay and my son ate only ½ and just the tortilla. Oh and they were $ 6. A total waste of my money. I’ll stick to Los Amigos or Los Jilbertos for good burritos, much more for your money. Sad we can’t ever keep any good, fast and convenient restaurants in the CL Towne Center. No second chance here, and that was before I ever saw the food!

I went back to give them a second try and found the breakfast fairly priced and perfectly cooked. I love they brought in a coke machine for refills. I recommend them if you want a simple meal for a fair price and don’t mind the cold atmosphere.
So I have been back and the big guy (cook) is kinda cold, the cashiers have no guest relation experience they don’t greet you, you never feel welcome at this place. Jimmy you have to fix this it’s hurting your business!
Things have gotten a lot better there changed out some workers and they are trying to be more friendly.

I was very happy with my experience at Jimmy’s. This small privately owned café is clean, friendly, and has great food. My wife and I stopped in for breakfast; I had a meat loves breakfast bowl and the wife had a veggie breakfast bowl. My bowl came with ham, sausage, eggs and cheese all on a bed of hash-​browns. My wife’s bowl was the same substitute the meat for onions, bell peppers, and jalapeño. Both bowls were well cooked and tasty. We left breakfast feeling fill and please we trace Jimmy’s a try. We will be back.
