I have been here before for dinner, we arrived just before they stopped serving dinner, so the 4 of us ordered steaks and when they arrived they were not cooked to order and luke warm, my friend even got his cold and rare when he asked for medium. I am now returning for lunch upon my friends request, the sides are really good and the lunch was much better, the only thing is the iced tea didn’t taste right, it was a little sour. Weird but oh well. Its worth a 3 stars, maybe 4. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Paradise, CA
Plumas Pines Restaurant just opened a week ago with new owners and chefs. I have been there twice since and both times had the best fish and chips I have had in a long time. Thin crunchy Gluiness beer batter with moist thick flaky Cod. The homemade Dill dip is awesome. Sitting outside directly on Lake Almanor is of course very hard to beat and the staff is superb. Very attentive and accommodating. Very nice owners and a clean and fun bar with Live Music all summer long. A true Mountain Lake retreat with a Gem of a restaurant. Doesn’t get much better.

Having my birthday dinner here. We had the Capresse chicken and it was cooked perfectly. Again the food was excellent!
Had the triple chocolate fudge brownie for desert and it was awesome.

The deck dinning view and ambiance is excellent. Go here for a lunch. They can make a great burger and fries. Dinner= not so good. Extremely average menu with sub average cooking. No chef at home in this kitchen. Kelly our server was very good, but most of the other help was mostly shirkers trying to look busy. With few people at the bar I waited 15 minutes to get service. At the table it took an hour for dinner to arrive; couldn’t understand why. Prices are quite high for the area. I’ll not go there again for dinner. Overall poorly run.
