I have been a patient at IHA Cherry Hill Internal Medicine and have seen several of the doctors there. All my experiences have been very good with the office staff and doctors. Dr. Sperry in particular is excellent! She is very knowledeable but explains things in a way I can understand. She is also very caring. I have recommended her and the office to my relatives and friends and they have had great experiences too.

I have gone to the IHA on Cherry Hill in Canton, Mi for more than a few years. I have been treated very poorly by Dr. T Sperry. An example and this is just one of many. When my blood work came back showing my kidneys were not right I called since in the letter it did not mention any thing being wrong. When her nurse called back she said that Dr. Sperry said it was because I was getting old and never mentioned what I was suppose to do but ignore it. When I went to see my chiropractor; I asked him if he could refer me to another doctor and told him what had been going on. The doctor he recommended was in the same building but was an MD instead of a DO and knew I needed someone who would not fluff off everything that was wrong with me. I tried to make an appointment but they would not do it stating that it had to be approved by Dr. Sperry. So I waited and she did call. She was so very very rude. Did not give me one chance to say anything. Just was loud and very cold. Said that she had done so much for me and I could see who ever I wanted and than hung up on me. Well, I tried not to let it bother me but thought she was very rude and I was so so right to be looking for someone else. Would think a doctor would act more adult like and more professional and want the best for her patient and not add more stress to them. Think she also forgets who is paying her wages. I ended up calling back and making an appointment with the new doctor since Dr. Sperry said she cared less as to where I went. A few days went by and I get a call from this office stating my old doctor and new doctor had gotten together and decided I was not to come back there. That they felt that the new doctor could do no more than Dr. Sperry had. LOL Would think the new doctor would of called to see why I was changing and what I wanted to be seen for. I sure hope that all the doctors there are not the same? DO’s MD’s…same same??? Think they were taking my rights away and adding more problems and stress in my life and this I would think is something a doctor with a brain who cared for her patients would not want to be so unkind. Thinking about contacting an attorney or the Attorney General or writing the CEO of St. Joseph. Hospital and see what they have to say. The manager did say I could go to any other IHA. Wonder if they have doctors there that know more than the Cherry Hill one. ??? If their MD and Do cannot do anything for me without knowing why I was coming even in for than how could another IHA??? If any other senior has a problem than you can contact an attorney. Just call Senior Alliance and they will give you the phone number. I believe it is a free service to all but does ask for donations for those who can afford. I also have the Attorney Generals phone number and you can contact me on FB if you need it. If you need to contact the CEO just look up on line or call hospital and sure they can help you. No one should be treated like this when we are paying for a service. One more thing… Dr. Sperry has gained much weight from the last time I seen her. Maybe 50 or so. Maybe she has something going on in her life but I do not know. She should take a break from the practice if she does not know how to treat patients. I am not the one that caused her the weight gain.
