Love the place! I’ve been going there for years!

Best place in the area ! We live a county over and drive to eat there. Only problem is lasts time we went on Saturday they were not open. Anyone know if they are closed every Saturday now? That is the only time we are able to go due to hours of operation. WE always tried to go most weeks. I miss my Donna, s special, best sandwich I ever had from anywhere. Nothing compares to this place they have an awesome flavor all their own. They have had may years to perfect their food, and have done just that!

THE BEST sub shop in Canton and the surrounding areas! I’ve been a few times and have never been disappointed! My favorite is the cheese steak. The Reuben and Pastrami are also amazing!

Had a great lunch here today. Nice historic items hanging on the wall, big menu selection of sandwiches, and great beer from Reformation Brewery. My wife loved her Italian and I loved my Reuben. I’m gonna get the Donna’s Special next time.

Can’t say one bad thing about this place. It’s amazing period! Food and people are wonderful!!! Love this place!!!

This is a hidden gem in downtown Canton. For $ 5.95, I had the best Reuben sandwich I’ve ever had! Unbelievable! Service was really quick, they put everything together right in front of you like an old time diner and was thoroughly enjoyable! I’ll be back!

We were exploring historic Canton on a drizzly Spring day. When we popped into this shop for lunch it was a hilarious contrast to the empty streets and shops, as the tables were full and a line to the counter. We thought this was a good sign and my wife had the Vegetable Beef Soup with Grilled Cheese to dispel some of the day’s chill and she said the soup was delicious. I had the steak sub, and probably should have gone with the double. While it was a decent sandwich, the tomato and lettuce overpowered the steak in both flavor and temperature. The side of seasoned fries were perfect.

Cantons favorite little hide away. Not really, anyone who is anyone can be found here during the week. Great sandwiches. Fast but busy. May have delays, but find someone to chat with, it’s worth the wait.

This is a great sandwich shop. I had the French dip and my friend had the Italian. They were both great. The onion rings and the Cole slaw are great too. We’ll be back for sure.

Got the steak sandwich. It was cool, the steak sandwich was basically 2 or 3 steak um strips not chopped up wit the cheese and the hoagie set up. The meat needed more seasoning but over all the sandwich was good. I would try something else cuz when you walk in there it smells amazing.

Very good sandwich, I had the Reuben with onions rings and tea, good place for lunch.

Finally made it back to R&M to see the shop since it was renovated. It’s nice to go back to a place and they remember you. Got to talk to Donna for a bit and met Mike for the first time. Also said hi to Jamie, but she was busy.
Got the scoop on the renovation from Mike. Basically just peeled ugly sheetrock off the walls and took out the drop ceiling. And pulled carpet off the old wood floor. Interesting how back years ago, it was a good idea to cover up the brick and wood. Now we take the coverings off. Maybe 30 years from now, we’ll cover it back up again.
Got my regular, the ham and cheese, hot, with lettuce and tomato and mustard and mayo. Like I’ve said, Donna is a maestro on that grill. I don’t know how she cooks 15 hot sandwiches at once. She puts the meat and cheese on the grill (meat first). Then she splits the hoagie roll and puts it on top of the meat and cheese to steam. So good. Then, with a spatula, she puts the meat and cheese in the bun and hands it to another counter, where they finish the sandwich. Final touch is, I think, a good sprinkle of oregano. They may put salt and pepper on, too, but I’m not sure.
I got mine to go and tried to eat it while I was driving. It was so hot and juicy, a bunch of the juice and condiments got all over my sweater and pants and made a mess. It was worth it.
BTW, send up a prayer for one of the people who helped with the renovation. God will know who it is!

Best sandwich shop in the area. So inexpensive and so good. Don’t tell them this, but I would still go back if they raised their prices It would be worth it. The spicy fries, awesome… the onion rings even more awesome. The potato salad… great. I haven’t had a bad sandwich here. Bring your appetite because these aren’t tiny sandwiches, although one would think they would skimp because they are 6.00 or less, but NO WAY… piled high with fresh meat and veggies. My favorite so far is the Rueben. The French dip is great even without the au jus. The Italian is AWESOME and the Philly cheesesteak is great as well. Anytime I’m off this exit, this is where I’m heading!

Absolutely love this place. I usually order the steak sandwich with a side order of fries. I’ve never been disappointed. Definitely the place to eat for lunch in Downtown Canton.

Wonderful pastrami and egg sandwich! Beautiful location n downtown Canton… food was excellent, friendly staff. Expect a line during peak hours.
If you’re looking for a local, laid back place in the area it is difficult to top this place!

You must try it all! Best shop in little downtown Canton! Plus you contribute to our local economy :)

Popped in for lunch after the 5k race. 1^st visit but will not be our last. Amazing sandwiches for a very reasonable price! Staff was all smiles ;)

Great sammiches and at a good price. Great atmosphere with historic pictures of old downtown Canton.

Steak & Mushrooms hoagie; shredded lettuce and tomato. Super tasty! Bun warm, soft but not soggy, mushrooms and steak warm and tender.
Got a side of their potato salad, WOW! Super fresh, nice red potatoes, creamy with excellent flavor!
Great lunch spot and terrific value!!!
