I come here about once a month. Typical small town diner atmosphere with about six booths, several tables & a few seats at a bar. Nothing I’ve had here has been earth shattering, but it’s always solid food. Typical diner offerings with eggs, pancakes, sausage gravy. My best friend says they have good oatmeal, if you’re into that kind of thing. I’ve never had any of the lunch offerings, so I can’t speak to those, but they look like typical comfort food items: burgers, hot dogs, soups and chili, sandwiches. The food has always been hot, and the service has always been good. I’ve been enough times that I’m beginning to recognize faces; the diner is frequented by a set of regulars. The owner is always present, and he greets and number of people by name. On some Saturday mornings, the Chicken Farmers perform old country songs. For two old guys, they are pretty good. Overall it’s a perfectly adequate place to have a hot breakfast, meet some neighbors, and occasionally hear some good music.

First time here. Nice staff. Fun atmosphere. Tvs at each booth. Food was not great. It was all hot and fresh. Over-easy eggs were not easy at all. No dipability for my toast. Pancakes were huge, but neither of us liked them … at all. Fake butter and non dairy creamer … yuk and yuk. Sausage patty was different, but good. Coffee was standard dinner coffee … on the good side … always hot and fresh. They kept my cup full. Toast was … well toast. Doubt I’ll come back, which stinks because the place is so close to my house. I love to support local places … Oh boy … the owner just said this to some ladies who walked in: Woe! I thought there was a Ms. America pageant going on with all of this beauty here at one table.

I missed a turn on the way back from a doctors appointment. I saw this place on the side of the road and something made me want to go there. I turned around and came back and went to Lorentz’s Diner on Middlebranch Ave. I am very critical, especially when I go out to eat. I notice everything and everyone in the place. I had NOTHING to critique about this place. I had scrambled eggs, bacon and hash browns(which they call home fries but where I’m from, home fries are potatoes with peppers and onions). The coffee was surprisingly good. Being that coffee is my main drink, I’m VERY critical when it comes to my coffee. The food was real, the service was great and I had nothing bad to say about it.
