George’s Lounge

I ordered the sliders and was kind of skeptical when they arrived because of the price versus size. WOW I was wrong! They have the most flavorful burgers in Canton by far. Bartenders are very friendly and funny. Very diverse bar from before but awesome. Will be back for sure!

I found myself in downtown Canton for my cousin’s wedding in May 2015. My siblings, their significant others and I decided to bar crawl through this area with some local friends. As the night edged onwards we found ourselves in this little bar. It’s not the fancy-​smancy type but the food and service was tops.
My sister in law got the slider trio and boy oh boy was it delicious. I cannot even recall what we got but the choices go on and on. You have to check them out and try the menu. I definitely can’t wait to try and go back to get something even more awesome. No one left hungry, no one was unsatisfied and everyone had a great time. Can’t say that of too many late night food joints.

George’s Lounge is truly a gem. Originally from the area and home for Thanksgiving, my friends suggested we check this place out. Outcome? I have decided to make a George’s Lounge trip a priority every time I am home. No, seriously. I love it. Such an interesting menu, ESP for someone like me that is a condiment junkie. George’s is pumping out the most beautiful lists of sauces I have ever laid my eyes on. It is incredible. We each picked a dipster to try with a big basket of fries and the best was by far the spicy thai peanut (waitress recommendation)! Delish!
I ordered the spicy thai chicken salad (I know, I know. with all of the delectable burger choices I went with a boring ass salad) BUT in my defense, it was amazing. Wasabi ranch was perfect with the thai chicken!
Two of my homies got the John Wayne and devoured it. My other homie got the Tree Jumper and said it was one of his favorite things he had eaten!
SO you get it, the food is fun and delicious and the beer selection was pretty good as well.
Now let’s talk about the vibe of this place. Super relaxed and carefree. SO much fun. Our waitress was amazing. She even started dancing and singing with us at one point. There was a guy playing guitar and he was outstanding. My fiancé developed a man crush on him and bought him a few beers. He was great entertainment and really gave the place a special feel.
I love this place. YO George’s…you are killing it. Thanks for existing!

I’m a local and had heard about George’s Lounge for years, but it was only within the last year I was told about their great food.
Yes, the burgers and hand-​cut fries are usually excellent; most times medium will be well-​done but the meat is never dry, so I’ve always let it go. The beer menu is quite extensive, but skip the mixed drinks. I’ve found them to be weak with not much attention paid to the mix. Pass on the waffle sundae as well. Recently we ordered one on a splurge night and it was delivered to our table with the ice cream completely melted and missing the peanuts. When we commented on it to our waitress she said, «well… the waffle is hot and it melts the ice cream.»
Yea, I get that but doesn’t that mean you should keep your ice cream colder or make sure it gets to the table in a more timely fashion?
Which brings me to service; the seemingly hired for their alternative look female servers are friendly but VERY casual.
Service is like when you’re at a friend’s home for dinner and everyone’s stoned; a friend who’s cheffing is in the kitchen, the high-​as-​hell host playing server, EVERYONE. You’re happy. EVERYONE’S happy. You’re in their vintage rec room grooving to fantastic music, got the munchies and are super hungry. Then you see your host smile and giggle as they walk away from you to either take a hot bath with a glass of wine or to do whatever strikes their fancy. You can smell the aroma of the fresh food, but you don’t know if you will ever get it.
I always enjoy my time at George’s Lounge. I just wish I could eat and drink more to be able to listen to all my selections on the awesome jukebox.
