I can stumble many places from this location! First, you are in walking distance of the First Monday Trade Days. This is very important when the weather is 104 degrees. When I got tired, I went to my room and laid across the bed in the AC sipping on my complimentary Coke/water from the mini fridge. Then I could shop some more! At night you can walk to several local tasty restaurants. There’s home cooking, Italian, Mexican and sandwiches. There’s also a winery across the street. It appears that Canton is proudly dry. The winery can only serve wine, no beer and no hard liquor – not for lack of trying. If you want something that’s not beer you will have to drive to Applebee’s. I however had two glasses of wine and cooler of beer in my room at the B&B. If you want to watch television, there’s a comfy main room up front with a VCR and cable. Bathrooms are not in the rooms, but each room has an assigned bathroom down the hall. You don’t share bathrooms but you do have to leave your room to get there. They have robes in the rooms so you don’t have to shuffle around in your skivvies. The building doesn’t look like it was originally purposed for a B&B but it works. The rooms are cute, but don’t expect a super high end room. They are exactly what you’d expect for the price and location. Best thing is the location. I can go to Canton, park my car and not have to worry about driving anywhere for the rest of the trip. Owners are super fantastic nice and served us up sweet potato pancakes with sausage and fruit for breakfast. They allowed our teen daughters to sleep past check-out and gave us recommendations on places to hit on the way out. Next time I go to Canton, I will stay here.
