I stopped in for breakfast with mom the other day. We both ordered the border scramble, pretty tasty garnished with sour cream and jar salsa which is unfortunate. It is served with a choice of hashbrowns or home fries which were a bit undercooked. The restaurant is clean and well managed. The service was very good. I always have enjoyed Bob Evans breakfast, as well as their soups, lunch and dinner menu. The prices are a bit steep for what it is. They do however, mail out coupons and have an email club that sends offers which brings prices in a more reasonable range. All in all a decent meal was had but I really wish they would 86 that jar salsa and whip up some fresh. After all it is Bob Evans… down on the farm

I came in today, and was extremely disappointed. I was greeted by a decently friendly staff, who forgot to give us a kids menu for my 8 year old son. Then, the waitress seemed to have no urgency AND no personality. After receiving a less than half full bowl of gravy, and getting it replaced, my food came out cold. The portion sizes were about 1⁄3 of how they are at all other Bob Evans. The food was lousy, cold, and was not even enough food for my young boys. Then, I purchased a to go order for my wife, and it was the icing on the cake. In the box, there was 8 home fries, two minuscule pancakes, and a single egg, which was slightly bigger than a postage stamp. The waitress reluctantly gave us a few more home fries, however I was thoroughly let down…

Late breakfast today with my husband. I ordered the mini sampler with a side of sausage gravy and my husband ordered the toasted ham and cheese sandwich on brioche bread. We both cleaned our plates and my husband wants to return tonight for dinner. Great service from a busy waitress. Our total bill for two meals was $ 16.

Years ago, my parents always loved to stop and eat at restaurants that featured typical American fare. Places like Howard Johnson’s and Bill Knapp’s come to mind. Sadly, both of these legendary establishments in the Great Lakes Region, are now all but a fading memory in the over 30 crowd. Thankfully, Bob Evans fills this void very nicely. This Bob Evans is the go to place for a great meal with family or friends. I love their wide selection of sandwiches, and dinner entrées, which won’t break your wallet. Likewise, their desert menu is fantastic. I’ve never had a Coconut Cream Pie from this place I didn’t like. The Bob Evans on US-12(Michigan Avenue) in Canton, is by far my favorite. Maybe that’s because it’s so close to my home. This probably accounts for the reason I am receiving coupons in the mail for this place all the time, which makes me go there very often. Nevertheless, I’ve never had a bad meal or service from this location. More importantly, the entire restaurant and restrooms are always very clean, which is a good thing in my book.

We had a few bad experiences at this location, from them serving raw bacon to my children to downright rude waitresses. We actually stopped going to Bob Evans all together due to this specific location and the waitress who is still at that location! Almost went back after a year only to see her, I turned around to my wife and as I did that terrible waitress had the nerve to tell us we’d have a different server, any place who employs someone like her that long obviously doesn’t care about the customers! When we complained to management along with 3 other tables that day we assumed it would be handled, but after talking to some others who stopped going to that location because of her still being there we came to the conclusion that she is untouchable! I know of at least 3 groups of people who no longer eat at Bob Evans because of her! Oh and just to clear things up I tip 20−30% just for basic polite service I didn’t over expect anything!

Just had breakfast. Great service from Shannon. Was packed on a Sunday morning but we were at our table in a few minutes. The steak and eggs were great. Just enough seasonings and the eggs were cooked perfectly. This is definitely better than the Coney Islands in the area. Highly recommended

OK; as you know, I’m a big breakfast guy so after the medicur experience I had at «Cracker Barrel». I decided to try the grandfather of Sunday breakfasts…” Bob Evans” now its been some years since the last time I’ve been in a Bob Evans. They still have the same décor… a slightly modern diner feel, what did catch my eye was the bakery stand right when you walked in. My server«Allissa» was pleasant, a little slow with bringing my coffee, but understandable do to the volume of customers in the dinning room. I ordered the«Brioche French Toast, Bacon and Biscuits and Gravy» The French toast was a new item on the menu, while it was tasty it didn’t knock my socks off, the biscuits and gravy WOW!!! still a top signature dish for them from the flaky soft biscuit, to the creamy thick gravy with the undeniable Bob Evans sausage throughout. It brought back memories.(No bacon) server totally forgot it. My over all experience was a 6 out of 10, the server can’t forget items ordered, when they do… it shows a lack to detail.

Horrible service! Not busy at all took 20 min to get drinks, placed out order then asked for the manager after 25 min and was told the waitress entered our order only 8 min ago. What was she doing for the 17 min she held that order?!?

Took my mom for brunch today and we had a great meal after Easter service. We lucked out, it was about 9:45 and were greeted quickly and seated to a table. Our waitress, Ricky was so sweet! I ended up order one egg with bacon, fruit and a biscuit with gravy. Everything was great but the gravy. Brown sausage gravy? It kind of looked like chicken gravy, but with sausage. My mom had a egg with sausage links and hashbrowns. She said everything was great. The coffee was fantastic. Service was great. Food was great! They have a curb side service and you can get a nice, «home cooked meal» without having to do any work! Better than take out!

Bob Evans has a quality product with premium prices. That being said, we don’t frequent Bob Evans to often because there are so many places around that give you quality food at more reasonable prices. The homestead breakfast is the standard that I try to match at other places, but sometimes we have to go back to Bob Evans for our fix. They offer many email deals if you join their email club and it helps bring the price more in line with other local eating establishments. Bob Evans is a solid 3 stars and I’ll be back…(with a coupon)

This place sends coupons out all.the.time. This particular locale is usually hopping because of that. I admit I am lured by it. Food is hit or miss as is the service. For the most part it is fine but I have been here and sworn never again at least once. Especially on a particular buy one get one free dinner night that took us over two hours to get through with several items sent back because they were not what was ordered at all. Not even in the same ballpark lady type mistakes. Problems were barely acknowledged and it literally was not worth the discount we were offered. They played bait and switch on me in a carry out once, selling chicken salad and advertising it as the same size as a to go soup container. When I got it home it was a fourth of that size and not the terribly terrific bargain I was sold on. When I complained I got told too bad so sad you should not have assumed and that I should have checked my carry out bag before I left and discussed it in person. Well duh, it said that chicken salad was one of several options on the sign that had the container picture right damn next to it. That is the container I have gotten for every single other item you have advertised that way. Silly me. Yeah the place is just not worth the hassles and utter lack of concern with a happy customer. You get what you pay for as usual. The fact they have to offer so many coupons tells me this place is headed south at any rate.

Had a nice breakfast this morning and an excellent server. Only problem I had was when I tried to use the free breakfast coupon I had it was not valid on Sunday. I then turned the coupon over and got my glasses out and indeed I saw I did not read both sides of the coupon.

Went there and ordered thev new combo, great value, good selection. Chicken breast dinner was my choice. When the food arrived the chicken was RAW in the middle. We sent it back, my wife finished her food and got another drink and my food did not return. I asked the waitress to just put the chicken back on the grill, no big deal. After another 15 min I gave up and we left. Asked to speak to the Manager who stated he had«new people» and«it wasn’t done on purpose». Nice but if you can’t cook chicken… I’m worried.

This review is for carry out only. They have had a recent remodel and the place is clean, streamlined and inviting. Gone are the kitschy souvenirs. In their place is a bakery counter. The salsas and jams, especially the apricot jam, are excellent and worth taking home with your order. The servers are quick and polite and will very carefully check your order so you don’t get a surprise when you get home. They will also offer a free beverage while you wait. The potato-crusted flounder and lemon supreme pie are family favorites!

We had not been to a Bob Evans in a few years because they do not have any on our side of town, so we jumped at the chance to go here when we happened to be in the area. What a huge disappointment. Bob Evan’s food quality is more like Denny’s these days, and definitely is not from«Down on the Farm».

Depressing to say the least… we stopped at approximately 7:30pm for a quick meal. The place was ¼ full, the waitress was nice and quick on the order… We waited bout 25min for breakfast, my wife and I, and everything was overcooked. The sausage was petrified, the homefries nearly burnt and the sausage gravy was really dark and lukewarm. They destroyed The Homestead and my overall image of Bob Evans.

We’ve visited this Bob Evans location twice, and both times the food was fresh, well-prepared and flavorful. It was reasonably cheap as well, so no complaints overall with the food and cost. The service this last time, however, was far short of expectations. We were seated and the hostess brought us the menus, but after 15 minutes no waiter had come to the table. My wife hunted down the hostess and asked who the waiter was, and she said she would find the person, and in the meantime took our order. No waiter showed up. After 45 minutes total, my wife went looking again, and a waitress mentioned that it wasn’t her table, but that she would take care of us, and brought us our drinks and silverware… after 45 minutes! By this time, the family that came in the same time as us, had finished eating and was leaving their table. Our food came soon thereafter, but that was the last time we saw our«new» waitress. Once we were done eating, my wife went to the car with our two kids, and I waited for some boxes. Of course, no waitress appeared for me to ask for boxes. Eventually I went to the counter to ask for them and a bag, and then took our leftovers and left. The whole meal took an hour and 20 minutes, and the first 45 minute we sat around and did nothing… Seems like some kind of waitstaff assignment mix-up, but even after we let them know about it(twice), no action was taken. I doubt we would visit this location for some time, especially with two kids to keep busy while the food is missing.
