Master’s Touch Painting

We hired Samir to paint one of our bed rooms (soon to be my writing room) along with the hallway. We were going to replace the door to the bedroom as it was old and had stickers put on and then stripped off it. First let me tell you about the paint job Samir and his assistant Gabriel did: like I said «Amazing». I had tried to paint the room first and did a miserable job. Samir consulted with me on the contrasting color I should us with the paint I already had. He fixed my terrible work and just worked wonders with the room and hallway. He did not have enough paint as he had estimated so he got extra (and did not charge me!) He did some repairs so the room would look great and show off the paint job (again no charge). As for the door we were going to replace:
Samir informed us that these were good three paneled doors and we would replace them with inferior doors. So he sanded and repainted the existing doors. They look great and we spent a fraction of the cost. He and Gabriel cleaned up everything, left our room and hallway looking neat and clean. I will be using Samir again!

First of all, this review is WAY overdue. Samir and his guys painted our new home in December of 2012 and we could not be happier. The house was originally built in 1957 and has seen more than a few ‘updates’ in its time (most done half-a$$ed). While some would have simply slapped yet another coat of paint on the walls, Samir did an amazing job properly prepping every surface. He even went so far as to clean up and/​or repair stuff that he didn’t have to just so they wouldn’t make HIS paint job look bad!
While not the cheapest painter around, he was very mindful of our budget constraints and offered several suggestions to help keep costs down without sacrificing quality of work. He made sure everything was in order before leaving each day and even came back to touch up a few things that got dinged and scratched during the move-​in.
Bottom Line: He truly is a Master. I’ll not be looking for another painter until he retires!
