I am a medical doctor visiting my mother in Los Angeles for a few days and one of my temporary crowns came off. I was lucky enough to find Dr. Lozada’s office while driving down the street.
My crown was damaged and she took the time to make a new temporary crown for me at no extra charge because she thought it would have a better chance of staying in place.
She did an outstanding job for me, well beyond my expectations. She was kind, gentle, and considerate throughout the entire process. If I lived in L.A., Dr. Lozada would be my first choice for dentistry. She has my highest recommendation!

My dad needed a new four tooth bridge. My dentist quoted an amount that was quite high that dad was not willing to pay. I was referred to Dr. Maria Lozada and the West Hills Dental Group in Canoga Park by a colleague of mine who said she did great work at a reasonable price, and he was right. My dad was extremely pleased with the entire process, which was almost half the price quoted by my dentist for the same work. Though we started the work in her Canoga Park office, they were able to have the bridge delivered to their other location, Mint Canyon Dental in Canyon Country so they could see him on a Saturday. They were extremely accommodating and I would highly recommend them to friends and family.

Friendly and professional staff. The office no longer has the choo-​choo trains on the wall but the people that work there are still top notch. Keep telling me I have no cavities Dr. L and you’ll keep your five stars.

Although Dr. Lozada is very nice and capable, this office is horrible. In 2011 I got charged for a root canal. I recently went in for 1 and was overcharged. When I asked about it the front office gentleman told me they don’t get reimbursed by the insurance co. Sounded fishy in 2011, but this time I investigated with my carrier. Low and behold they overcharged me more than $ 150. They gave me my check and the front office gentleman handed me my paper x-​rays and said here are your x-​rays we are no longer accepting your insurance. REALLY? I called you out because you are obviously mis-​billing and you drop my insurance. I said adiós. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! They should have sent out a form letter explaining the situation. Also, they don’t know how to code. They should have looked up the code for
The procedure I got and billed it correctly. Instead they put a dummy code and insurance said they wouldn’t pay it and they returned me my money for it. Low and behold there is a code for it. I think I might consider this fraud.

My family has visited this dentist for years, and while I am one of the millions of people who only go to the dentist when something’s gone wrong, I have to say that the staff here is very pleasant and Dr. Lozada is a great dentist.
Dr. Parmann is a bit of a bruiser in comparison to Dr. Lozada (he’s a big guy and sometimes doesn’t know his own strength), but both are very skilled dentists and are good to be around.
