I’m glad that I joined the Unilocal crowd for these moments of great costumer service! I was looking for extra virgin olive oil down one of the corridors, singing along to one of the tunes that was on the radio station and there goes the store manager Gloria smirking and telling me that she does the same thing all day! She is a very helpful employee of Jons market and there lucky to have her. If I need to order boxes of my moms favorite water she gladly places the order for me. By the way they have the freshest rapini and vegetables in the valley!

I love Jon’s deli. They have the best selections of meat and cheese there. Parking is plenty. Prices are really good for the deli. I like it better than whole foods, Ralph’s. So basically of all the supermarkets, Jon’s has the best selection of deli meats and cheese. The bonus point is that they slice it for you right there, and they give you samples before you buy it. Everything else is sub par. I come here for the deli only. I usually get my imported Sicilian green olives. It’s to die for. The alex’s black German Bologna is simply awesome. Gouda cheese is delicious, and throw in some salami, and it’s done. I highly recommend everyone try the deli, while you wait for your meats/cheese to be sliced, you can look at the assortments of fruits and veggies. They’re generally not that great, but the price is good, if you don’t mind sacrificing a bit in quality.

This review is only for the DELI section of this particular Jon’s Market. They are ALWAYS understaffed and the average wait time is 30 – 40 minutes long before your turn comes. Even though there seems to be a few employees behind the counter, only two of them are actually serving customers that have a number in hand. Today I walked in and saw 18 customers(not joking!) standing there waiting their turn. I pulled No. 27 out of the dispenser and they were serving No. 11 at that time. I spent 45 minutes shopping for other items throughout the store and by the time I left the store they were serving No. 21. My turn never came and I just gave up. The management of this store has little regard for their deli employees as these poor folks are constantly taking orders without a break or any extra hands helping them out. They probably couldn’t even take a small bathroom break seeing that all these customers are standing there waiting. The rest of the store is fine, especially the fresh produce section is well stocked and reasonably priced. CORPORATEHEADQUARTERS and MANAGEMENT: HIRE2MOREEMPLOYEESFORTHISDELISECTION. The natives are getting restless!

Definitely cheaper than Vons, Ralphs or Albertsons when it comes to meats and produce but the regular items are about the same. Service is nice and checkout is quick.

Disorganized, but a wild variety of pretty much anything found in the Western, Asian, Middle-Eastern and Latin cuisine :) Very easy parking, not enough employees around the isles, other than it being unorganized it’s still clean. Always fun coming here, since I never know what new international item I discover :) 80s MUSICALWAYSONANDALWAYSROCKS! Per my fiancé, their seafood selection is good and gets the job done. Same goes for the meat department. I like their vegetable and fruit department… ALWAYSSEEMSTOBEFRESH :) INTERNATIONALSELECTIONOFCHOCOLATE, CHOCOLATE, CHOCOLATE.

I don’t do all my shopping here. I come in here on my lunch breaks for snacks or water. The only thing I don’t like, for some reason is the cashiers take a long time to ring up.(Yes, I’m talking about the express lane) The prices are nothing compare to Ralph’s Market. You can find better deals at Ralph’s Market. They do you have a Starbucks and a Panda Express inside the store which is very convenient. The deli can be very overwhelming on lunch hour rush from(1pm-3pm) since, everyone is trying to buy a sandwich from the deli counter.

My mom lives right down the street from this place so we come here for quick grocery stops while i’m visiting. I’ve been here lots of times and i’ve always had a good experience.

The only reason why I’d go out of my way to go to Jon’s is their fresh and fantastically priced produce. I can’t stand paying through my nose for apples, grapes and onions at Ralph’s when I can get the same things for a fraction of the price at Jon’s. Literally, I go in there with 10 bucks and walk out with tons of fresh fruits and veggies. They carry a lot of ethnic foods; we’ve bought some Indian garlic paste for a price lower than at the Indian market. I wouldn’t go there for your everyday groceries though ie: orange juice, yogurts, cereals, because they aren’t competitively priced. They do have a fantastic bakery section and the fresh breads smell so good. They also make delicious cakes. I love the ones with fresh fruit on top.

The Ethnic Place to be. :) Love their prices. They are definitely cheaper than Vons, Albertsons and Ralphs. They have more variety of world flavors. Some Jons specialize in persian food, some asian, some hispanic. I can’t remember with this one. I just remember prices being low and alcohol being cheap too.

The produce is well priced and fresh. I haven’t purchased anything else here, but prices seem comparable to other grocers. I usually just come here to kill time while I’m doing laundry around the corner.

Came here when I first moved to Canoga Park because it was close to my house. Prices were fairly reasonable but quality of food was mediocre at best. Their deli has very low-quality selections, which was a deal-breaker. If you need ethnic ingredients or fresh produce then Jons might be for you, but I prefer a one-stop shop where all of my items are fresh and great quality.

The place to go for a quick shopping trip. I go here only because it’s so close. I only buy fresh bread, some deli items and produce here. As the review before me said, they ARE way over priced for anything factory made. Sometimes they do have great sales on the weekly ad, they offer daily sales. The service is always horrible, the cashiers are not friendly and hardly even look at you. It alays feels like the customer is bothering them not to mention inturrupting the personal conversation they are having with eachother. I once went in carrying my sleeping 1yr old and bought a gallon of milk, the cashier asked me to bag my own item as she was out of bags on her end of the belt and it was«an express lane», I clearly had my hands full. Service = NO stars $ = 2 stars only due to the ad sales

Jon’s Marketplace is the market you go to for fruits, vegetables, deli, cakes, fish, chicken and fish. You do not want to buy anything that is factory wrapped. That’s where they make their money! Their fruits and vegetables are great and priced very reasonably. I discovered a great tasting fish, «Swai», that comes from Viet Nam. Today it was an advertised special at $ 3.49 a pound. The fish is easily worth twice that much. Try their 7 layer halva, it is amazing.
