The pastrami sandwich was good but a bit salty. I liked curly fries and had a bite of the carrot cake. Service-5 stars food — 4 Stars Typical traditional Deli place.

Whenever we come out to Los Angeles from NY we always go to Frank Weiler’s Deli. The Pastrami Reuben is my favorite! The service is always friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I love the tray of pickles and sauerkraut they bring to the table. The cole slaw is also really fresh and delicious!

Go to Weilers if you are looking for a quaint, basic, traditional deli vibe. They have everything(literally, everything) from breakfast to lunch to dinner. The menu is mainly American food. There were not a whole lot of healthy options(other then a very dry salad) so I went with the tuna sandwich and fries. Great food-just what you would expect from a real OG deli!

I love the deli! Food is home cooked just like my parents would make back in new York. Love the vibe here as well. People are great along with the service. Love the chicken soup and meatballs are great! Highly recommend. Prices are unbeatable for the amount you get. Love Weilers!

I had Sweet and Sour Cabbage soup and a Meat Knish. Both were nicely prepared, not the best I’ve ever had, but pretty damned good. Pickles were crisp and cold, and loved the bagel chips. Service was en pointe. A solid reliable place, both times I’ve been. Good job!

Food is awesome! And you get great portions for the price. Most of the servers are very kind, except one. She’s the bad apple that spoils the bunch. On my visit in February, I asked her for a to-go tea. She brought me tea in a glass. I said«Oh, I’m sorry. I wanted this to-go. I apologize if that wasn’t clear.» She looked at me, rolled her eyes and said«That’s not a reasonable request.» And refused to get me a drink. Yesterday, the same waitress eyed me the ENTIRE time I was eating. She rolled her eyes, pursed her lips and acted as if she was treated badly. I love the food, but with her on staff, I doubt I will go back.

The food is always really good and I enjoy it a lot. Being pregnant and on bed rest, it has been great being able to order delivery and have a yummy breakfast or lunch brought to me so I don’t have to go out or cook :) I give it 4 stars for the food and service when I am there. However, I was a little bothered that recently when I ordered I did not receive all of my items and the milk I ordered arrived spilled out in the bag it was wrapped in. I ordered via GrubHub and when they asked about my order the same day, I let them know. It was slight, but still incorrect. I didn’t hear anything back. The next day I let them know again when I got an email asking about my order. They reached out to Weiler’s who said the time to complain had expired. GrubHub did give me a $ 7 credit to use towards any deliver which was great, but I didn’t expect that sort of response from Weiler’s. Oh well, no use crying over spilled milk right? The food is still good :).

I love this place for breakfast and Stephanie is our favorite server. She always gets our orders right and considering there are typically 5 of us there we never have to remind her who gets what. The omelets here are HUGE and the selection is quite varied. I go for the Greek omelet and it’s quite tasty and the best around when you compare to other restaurants near by.

This is your classic SoCal deli: the massive menu, vinyl booths, the cases of bakery goods and meats, and the universal 60 year old waitress(where do they clone them?). Think Broadway Danny Rose. I’m not too proud to admit but I love delis and this place serves good deli food. I ordered a tuna sandwich, fries, coleslaw and a Coke. Everything is what you would expect. The floor show consisted of the manager politely trying to escort a mentally ill homeless gentleman out of the restaurant whilst said homeless dude screamed about hot chocolate he had had here before… what? Mistake? Should I have ordered the hot chocolate? If your in woodland hills and really hungry for deli. This place will do fine. Enjoy meine schone fresser

We used to go to this place a lot and it was alright. Last time we took our family and the service was AWFUL. It was the same lady that always serves us but for some reason she really hated us this time! She brought my aunt french toast instead of waffles. When we said that’s not what she ordered, she denied it. So I guess all 5 of us were lying:/ She was rude to my aunt when she was trying to explain how she wanted her eggs. She seemed annoyed. The food is good but totally over priced. And crappy service. Not going back here.

This deli is amazing! The restaurant is clean and comfortable. Delivery orders are super quick, which is rare in LA. Everything on the menu is A+. I’m a frequenter of the pastrami(even had a pastrami breakfast, which I think should be a regular on the menu if it’s not already) and the breakfast burrito. The manager, Frank, is awesome. Thanks for always taking care of us. Be careful when ordering from the online menu. It’s changed. Make sure to check for the newest menu when calling in orders.

My favorite Jewish Deli. BEST skirt steak ever! It’s probably on the same level of goodness as a Lawry’s prime rib cut! And I swear… dont even go to More than Waffles in Encino get your waffles @Weiler’s BEST waffles EVER! And I’m a hard critic — only reviewing those places that I feel deserve my critiques. Eat there and I promise Weiler’s will not disappoint!

Perhaps what I ordered was the issue. I wanted a Philly Cheesesteak one day and found this spot on Unilocal.I walk in during my lunch period around 2p and the place was semi-crowded, so I thought I was at a great spot. Well, my sandwich had more bread than anything!!! In essence, I paid $ 15 for some large pieces of bread with mushrooms, bell peppers, onions cheese and a SPLASHOFSTEAK!!! The curly fries were average. I am almost sure I won’t be returning here… unless I have a sweet tooth. Their desserts looked pretty cool, but nothing really grabbed my attention.

I was super excited to try this place for the first time, and it totally surpassed my expectations. It looks kind of nondescript from the outside, like a little place at the corner of a little strip mall… but once you enter, it’s a good-sized restaurant with plenty of booths, a large deli counter and another counter to the side for seating. There were so many options on the menu that it was difficult to decide what to get for brunch. I finally went for the«Light Eaters Combination» so I could try the pastrami sandwich and get matzo ball soup. The chicken noodle soup contained the largest matzo ball I’ve ever seen in my life, and it was the BEST matzo ball I’ve ever eaten in my life. Gigantic, soft, and fluffy, the texture was as perfect on the first bite as it was on the last bite. The perfect amount of denseness, yet kind of light and airy at the same time. Yum. The chicken noodle soup was also filled with large chunks of chicken meat and vegetables in a tasty broth. The pastrami sandwich came on fresh rye bread with a crusty outside and soft inside. Still warm and slightly soft when pressed down, yet sturdy enough not to disintegrate with a enormous pile of juicy meat in between both slices. At $ 13.75 plus an extra dollar to upgrade the soup with the matzo ball, this meal wasn’t cheap, but you get a lot of food that is of very good quality. I left the restaurant stuffed and happy. This was TONS of food… I dunno what kind of light eaters eat so much… and I wonder what the«regular» meals look like. :O

We came across this place via Unilocal and have made it our new go-to for Jewish delis. We used to go to Jerry’s Deli, but the place is very family-friendly, quaint, and feels more personal. Their menu and portion sizes are both large and their prices are very reasonable. I like that they have soup/salad/sandwich combos, too. We had a turkey Reuben, pastrami, and matzo ball soup. It was all delicious and I especially enjoyed eating the bowl with a huge matzo ball in it! yum yum They have TVs on a few walls, but they don’t play the sound. When we were there, I asked if they would switch one of the TVs to the Kings’ game and they did happily.

Saw all the great photos & reviews for this place so my wife & I decided to give this place a try today. The food was hot & fresh and decent. Compared to Brent’s deli pastrami Frank’s pastrami isn’t as flavorful plus its on the dry side and not as juicy. However Frank’s pastrami was on the healthier end of a pastrami sandwich. I did enjoy the potatoe salad here more then Brent’s. I like mustard but for some reason not on my potatoe salad lol… I like my potatoe salad made with sour cream instead of mustard. The steak fries where better then Red Robin’s steak fries I had the other day. The service was huh bad today. I’m not sure if someone called in sick or quit or got fired or whatever but it seem like they only had one waitress today. We saw our waitress at the beginning of our meal and at the end of our meal and nowhere in between. It looked like she was covering the whole deli making our service unpleasant. Please hire more servers please.

Anorher 5 stairs . Came back for the Lox Benedict after being disappointed in other places. Ended up straying and got the turkey Ruben my friend got the burger . Loved the Ruben. Next time I will ask for some thousand island sauce . Loved the sour kraut. Loved the lentil soup. Friend really liked the burger even though he still swears on «Beeps » for the burgers but I cannot comment on that. I can only comment on what I had and that was great. Coming back tomorrow for the lox Benedict.

Memorial Day 2015. I’m sick. Boo. I just want some breakfast. Called Blue Jam Café, one hour wait. Called the Nook Café in Encino, thirty minute wait. I could hear pandemonium in the background of both places. No, just no. On the way to the Cheesecake Factory we diverted to Weiler’s Deli. Good call. We always order delivery but rarely eat here. The place is nicely decorated. They got the model train tracks and trains all around the ceiling. Don’t know if they run anymore. There were several folks getting their breakfast on. No wait! We sat right down in a nice comfy booth with lots of room. Eggs Benedict with Hash Browns and a side of Sausage. The Queen of Reseda builds her own omelette with bacon, tomatoes, spinach and munster cheese. Service was great. Food comes out it’s looking good. They have these rather girthy breakfast sausages that are freaking delicious! I wish I could buy these at the store. My Eggs Benedict are on point. Good ham, perfect Hollandaise. The Q of R says her food is good too. Celebrity sighting– Jay Thomas and his wife were dinning there. Most of you young people will have no idea. He was on Mork and Mindy, Cheers, and is a Radio personality. Anyway, Weiler’s Deli serves a solid breakfast and we will be back. Especially when we want to beat the crowds. I gotta go, need to get back to coughing and sneezing…

Updating my review and reaffirming my 4 Star rating. This time ordered the Super Reuben sandwich that comes with pastrami and corn beef, cheese, sour kraut and a side of my choice. I selected curly fries as my choice. Service: Greeted promtply. Seating quickly. Orden take timely and food was served relatively quickly. Food: Huge portions. Something you would see on Man vs Food! The reuben was grilled, meat was warmed up and sour kraut was crunchy and juicy. Well done reuben that I highly recommend to try. Fries were not oily, crunchy and severed extra warm. Meal cost was $ 14.95, but worth every penny. Ambiance: It has the Denny’s/Coco’s feel to it. There is a train and train track going around the restaurant by the ceiling, however I’ve never seen it put to use. They have a meat deli and pastries for sale as well. Yummy place for sure.
