Four and a half stars, hundreds of reviews, we were thinking that this couldn’t possibly be a misstep. Eh… it was ok but not outstanding. They certainly give you large portions, but the tortillas were steamed into unusable mush, and they were stingy with the salsa. My husband had the carne asada plate, and I had the carnitas. The carnitas were unlike any that I have ever had, as the were cubed, not shredded like I am used to. We don’t live in the area so it is unlikely we will return.

The tacos here are so good and they make them right in front of you. You get to choose red or green salsa and all the fixins how you like. Prices are cheap and they are pretty fast at giving you your food. Try the lengua tacos with the red sauce. The carne asada tacos with cheese and green sauce was my favorite.

I went here for the first time today. I heard about this spot on the radio Real 92.3 they were talking about best taco spots. I’ve always wanted to find a good taco spot in the Valley and boom here it is… much like most of L.A. there’s a parking lot with numerous business in the same lot. I found parking easy at 11a.m. the tacos are so delicious and for a little over a dollar. I ate four Carne Asada tacos with cheese, green salsa, cilantro, lemon, and a one liter glass bottle coca-cola all for $ 8 and some change. Best $ 8 I’ve spent for food! Bring cash money and try this spot. I’ll definitely be coming back as a regular. The spot has seating to dine in and staff is very friendly. It seemed like they all spoke Spanish so I Spoke to all the employees in Spanish. The girl who rang me up was very polite and smiling. I observed how busy it can get so get there early. There was a lot of people constantly coming in spurts.

CASHONLYTOTALLYWORTHIT! Red salsa is hotter than the Green Salsa. Never been disappointed each time I’ve gone. They’re super friendly and bilingual! If you don’t give this a try you’re missing out. The best place I know of. love it and enjoy every bite each time I eat here!

My boyfriend loves this place! Very fast service almost always has atheist two three people in line to order, but the staff, doesn’t speak much English, but they are fast and very nice. Food is good too. The red sauce is SPICY watch out, I prefer the green personally… just enough zing and flavorful.

Really good food. Steak tacos are the best. The wait is a little long because they make them fresh as you order it, but that’s probably why it tastes so good. Would definitely come back.

I saw this place on Unilocal. As I walked in I noticed that thy have more than one person cleaning the area but the tables where dirty, go figure. I asked for a burrito lengua one and to make it extra big and so he did(the cook) But the flavor was not all there and the rice was not totally cook a guess thy are using the cheapest rice in super market and for the price I paid was not worth it. Although I like the fact that they have free refills on the sodas, orchata and Jamaica.

This place is very authentic and tasty. Your classic meats. asàda, carnitas, al pastor and more. The ordering is a little different … tell the cook what you want and the cashier charges you for what she sees in your plate. They have a soda fountain which is rare for Mexican restaurants.

Mexican Food Done Right: Favorite meats: Pastor & Cabeza The pastor has the perfect hint of sweet and spice. The cabeza is tender and melts in your mouth. Burritos, tacos, sopes, you can’t go wrong with any choice. They always give a choice of salsa verde or roja, both excellent. Staff is usually pretty friendly. Always a wonderful place to come back to. Thoroughly enjoy eating here among all the places in the SFV

Never been to the actual store, but I’ve been going to their truck in front of Lanark Park since I was in elementary school. I am 25 now. Their asada tacos with green sauce are to die for. On the downside, I’ve seen the price go up from $ 1.00 from back in the day to $ 1.25 to now $ 1.50. But I have yet to find better tacos so I’ll keep going here.

I heard great things about this place, and I finally decided to give it a try. Food came out fast and hot! I like how you order from the cook first before getting to and laying the cashier. The quality of food is amazing, and the portion sizes are huge, and the hot sauces are bomb! Would definitely come here again! Only downside is the size of the place, but that shouldn’t stop anyone.

Decided to give this place a try after reading great reviews. First off the older Hispanic lady at the cash register is very unwelcoming, she stares you down like she’s hated you her entire life. Second their food is alright, tacos could be fuller. Third they are extremely stingy with their sauce. We ordered 6 tacos after taking the first bite we could barely taste any sauce. So my dad went up to the counter and asked the gentlemen at front for some extra sauce. He returned with half of a tiny plastic container, that’s all they would give him. How absolutely absurd is that? For six tacos? We finished our food quickly and left feeling uncomfortable. Word of advice to make your customers feel unappreciated. I will not be returning, instead I’ll be going back to my usual spot Tacos Reyes which is amazing.

$ 19 for two beef burritos with guacamole and two fountain drinks. the burritos are good and filling. not epic, go out of your way for burritos. but good enough that if you’re within a 5 minute drive and need a reasonably priced, no frills lunch, this is a great option.

I get a steak burrito everytime I go here but get disappointed when I have not tasted any guacamole I paid extra for in any bite of any burrito I’ve had here. Seriously, I am not sure if I’m even getting any guacamole or just less than a teaspoon of guacamole, maybe it’s flavorless guacamole. I was recommended here by a large man, he said they have mucho grande burritos, but after I got one they weren’t as big as I hoped, they are filled with different ingredients than Chipotle. It’s good, they serve you fast, authentic Mexican, and a good size but after you«add» guacamole it’s like the same price as a chicken burrito no guac from Chipotle. Everything else on the menu seem to be at a good price also.

I was looking for some authentic taco truck Mexican food in the valley and I didn’t have much luck for a long time. I would drive all the way to king Taco in Lincoln Heights until I found Big Burrito. The food is delicious. I’ve been going here for about 5 years now and decided to finally give them a review them. They recently did some renovations so it looks a lot better than it used to. It’s not a fancy place with waiters, you order at the front and the cooks make the food in front of you at the time of your order. Even though it isn’t all that nice, I feel they put their money to the important aspect of the business, the ingredients. I have never had a bad experience here. The burritos, tacos, mullitas and both salsas are amazing. I haven’t tried anything else in the 5 years of being a customer because I what I order is so good that I don’t feel the need to try other food items. Everyone I have recommended loves the food. If you are in the mood for some AUTHENTIC Mexican food, I would definitely recommend this place.

I happened to be shoppong locally for some motorcycle equipment and found this little Mexican food restaurant next door to a big shop on Canoga. This place is really a bit of a dive. Its not fixed up fancy but a humble little restaurant. Checking out the menu I wanted to try something I hadn’t tried before. So I went up to order a Mulita. Never had one before. The person taking my order asked if I wanted it with everything. Being the adventurous eater I said, «Sure!» The Mulita is two street taco sizes corn tortillas sandwiching jack cheese carne asada and this incredible green tangy sauce with cilantro and onion. I have never tasted anything like it. It was delicious! Highly recommend.

Well, where shall I start. I read all these great reviews, but was quite disappointed. The red &green salsas were nowhere to be found. Big mistake. We had 2 burritos, One a vegetarian & one a carne Asada. Vegetarian ok, nothing special. Carne Asada was VERY stingy on carne. I don’t see where the 5 stars are coming from. We won’t be back :(

Finding places like this is EXACTLY what I love Unilocal for! I would never have heard of or seen this place on my own. Total hole in the wall with some food. Really good tacos! The carne asada with red sauce. So spicy and so good! Chicken taco with green sauce! Their el pastor and carnita tacos are amazing too! My husband literally licked every drop of green sauce! It has amazing flavor! Then he got more green sauce for the rice and beans. Then more green sauce just to drink. Ambience is non existent, but, the food makes up for it. FYI, very limited menu and CASHONLY. They don’t offer chips. No enchiladas. I believe, just tacos, quesadillas, tortas, burritos, rice and beans. Also, menudo on the weekends. 12/19-my new favourite thing is their mulitas! One of the tastiest things I’ve ever eaten! Two thumbs up for authentic Mexican food!

One of the BESTCARNEASADASOFTTACOS I’VE ever had! I was literally dancing inside the restaurant all the whilst eating my Carne Asada soft tacos topped with onion, cilantro, the amazing delicious green salsa verde and lime squeezed all over! MMMM! Love these tacos! I’ve had 7 in one sitting! 7. Soft. Tacos. I’m 6 foot and weigh 120 pounds. These are THAT good. The only taco that is actually tied as far as flavor goes is the one on Kenmore and 3rd called Mariellas.

Super spicy, satisfying, no frills Mexican food that hits the spot when you’re craving a hearty burrito. Don’t come here for the ambience or expect a fancy culinary experience, but be prepared to get a «stick to your ribs»(and thighs, and ass) meal for a really low price. I had the veggie burrito which was very simple, but delicious. Beans, rice, lettuce, tomato and cheese with HOT red and green salsa in a giant tortilla that was made in under two minutes for all of $ 6. There was a cute little Abuelita in the back of the kitchen and you could tell that she and the cooks prepared the food with love… and lots of fat, but that’s just what I wanted. I took my order to go, but wish I would have checked to see if there was any guacamole or sour cream available to cool down the heat since I’m kind of a wimp. The food was heavy and rich, so not something I’d want every day, but I have no doubt it would cure the gnarliest of hangovers.

Oh ya. The BEST burritos and tacos you can find in the valley. My family has been coming to this place since I was in diapers and even before they had this storefront when they had a truck. I think it may have gone through a couple management changes? But they always deliver the most amazing, juicy, flavorful tacos and burritos. You know the kind that leaves your hand smelling like carne asada all day no matter how feverishly you wash them. My mouth waters as I type ;P We usually get them to-go and buy like 10 burritos and tacos, eat some, share some, and save some for later! Ask them to put extra green sauce and your tongue will be burning, but it’s soooo good! Make sure you ask for more of that sauce on the side, you’ll be happy you did. We love the pickled jalapenos, carrots, onions too!

Hands down the best burritos and tacos in the Canoga Park area. I’ve been to plenty of other taco shops near by and none compare to this place. I always order a tongue burrito with onions and cilantro. Don’t forget the green sauce. It’s freaking amazing. The red one is awesome as well but it’s a lot spicer. Be prepared to feel the burn. They do charge extra for anything with tongue. But it’s ok. It’s still cheap and it’ll keep you full for a good while.

Their tacos are definitely on the smaller side, but sooooo delicious !! My faves are their carne asada, lengua, and carnitas. The location is weird, they close early, they usually don’t have ac(just a lot of fans), and it doesn’t exactly look nice inside. But the food makes up for everything !
