First time shopping online for A&F Kids and had to return it here since it’s the closest store. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in a store. I waited in line to return something and an Asian girl behind the counter couldn’t even bother to look up to acknowledge me. After standing there for quite some time another worker finally decided to help me. Not one smile, not one hello from anybody in the store. All these people seem miserable and wants to make sure that we, the customers know it. I’d rather shop online and stick with the wrong size then ever go back to this cold environment.

The kids store was great. My 8 year old picked out a few stylish items. The uplifting sales associate approached us and engaged the group ending with asking my daughter if she needed assistance. This is important for me and my daughter. The store was organized, employees were up beat and informative in a straight forward«this is what we offer» way.

I really do not understand this kind of AF company culture. Basically the salespersons there treat customer very ignorantly. They kept locking the fitting room door and checking how many items you’re going to fit. This whole process gives you the idea that they assume you have the suspicion to steal their stuff. That’s terrible. I’m never going back.

I just shopped at Abercrombie & Fitch, for the first time. I truly do not understand their appeal and how their lack of customer service brings people back. I was first taken aback by their refusal to put items on hold. I wouldn’t think this would be an issue, especially if I were buying several items and I wanted to free my hands to look at other products. According to their policy, they don’t hold items. I was especially taken aback when they refused to provide a refund for an item that I returned with a receipt(most of). This involves a bit of a story. Again, I’ve not shopped here before. To understand how ignorant I was of the store, I didn’t even know that I was in their children’s store. I’m sort of surprised no one mentioned to me that I was in the children’s store considering I told the sales person that I was buying a gift for a fourteen year old girl, that I hardly knew. I ended up buying a couple of items, a shirt and a bracelet, based on the sales person’s recommendation. When I purchased the items, I asked for a gift receipt, but somewhere along the way, the cashier forgot to include a gift receipt and I forgot to double check. When I wrapped the gift, I decided to only give the bracelet because there was no way the fourteen year old girl was going to fit into the shirt that the sales person sold me. Since I didn’t have a gift receipt, I included, with the gift, the barcode section of the receipt. When I returned the shirt with the receipt that was missing the barcode, I was told that they could not provide a refund, only store credit. They said, they couldn’t give me a refund because the barcode was missing and that they could not lookup the transaction(but somehow they can give me store credit). I don’t know about you, but I’ve never heard of such a thing. When I shop at an department store, Gap, Banana Republic, J Crew, etc. they can just scan the tag on the clothing and my credit card and look up the transaction. I don’t see myself returning to this store on my own accord. I really don’t have a desire to pay someone to treat me like a second class citizen. I get that at home from the kids.
