I was a bride at this venue in September. To all brides, if you are considering this place as a venue for your country/rustic themed wedding this place was the best! I’ll break it down: I planned my wedding as a destination wedding. I was in another state, and relied on the wonderful staff to help with several items Preplanning: My husband and I took two separate scheduled guided tours, and the staff were so accommodating. They did not rush us as we counted windows and gathered ideas. Every time I called or emailed I had a response within 24 hours, which was so awesome. They promptly answered all questions I sent their way. Week of wedding: All included in the price they have me was the barn for Fri, Sat and Sun. I’m not sure if they always do that, but it was so helpful. We set up the entire reception area on Friday, and set up the chairs on the lawn as well. We were able to tear down on Sunday, so we didn’t have to worry about tear down being completed the night of our wedding on Saturday. Booking rooms for guests: As I said above, this was a destination wedding for more than half of our guests. My whole family is scattered across the states. Their arrival flights on Friday came in at all hours, including late at night. The ranch staid open later than normal to check in all my guests that were staying at the ranch. Impromptu Meals: As much as I tried to plan all the details down to a T, is was hard to get all my guests to realize they needed to actually reserve their meals a day ahead of time. I know that the ranch accommodated several last minute breakfast, lunch and dinner requests! Day of: I had requested ahead of time if they would provide a horse to be in our wedding photos, and they were so happy to do so. I was willing to pay more, and they refused the offer. They just asked for the pictures for their website upgrade. The horse was amazing, and the handler was super sweet. The ranch also allowed my photographer the golf cart which helped to transport me in my dress quickly from where we had our pictures to the reception. Staff: All the staff were AMAZING! I want to give a special shout out to Cindy and Sharon who were beyond helpful through the year long process. Rooms were clean and fit with the rustic theme. The food they served was delicious. To sum it all up, all my guests kept telling me that it was a fairy-tale wedding. They loved that they could get away from it all, and got to stay at a beautiful ranch while also enjoying our wedding. Side note: there’s only WiFi in the main building. Rooms do not have it. Also, cell service is very limited(which is not the ranch’s fault!) A suggestion I’d give to a future bride-to-be would be to invest in walkie-talkies for the essential groups in your wedding party. It would have saved us a great deal of time in physically running from cabin to cabin since 90% of the wedding party didn’t get cell service.

Beutiful setting in Pisgah valley, so pleasant to walk around the property! Gorgeous view everywhere you look, like a perfect postcard! We stopped by several times to enjoy the area, and everyone was always welcoming and nice! My wife and I were married at the ranch this September. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, the food was excellent and the views breathtaking. So glad we chose the ranch for the ceremony and reception. Thank you for everything!

Pisgah has a great advantage with their beautiful view. No matter how long the wait is, at least there’s that and the gift store to kill time. And wait you will! I ordered fried chicken and it was cooked to perfection. The menu choices are def. based on good old fashioned cooking and they do it right. Just don’t flip the menu around looking for filet mignon. This place is a staple of the area and is worth stopping by! I’ll have to try it for breakfast, sit by the window and wait for the sun to break through the morning mist over the mountains…

This place is incredible. Clean air, beautiful mountains, great trail rides and a staff who are more than willing to bend over backwards for you. The food is TODIEFOR. Good down home southern cooking! And the individual little houses all have porches for you to gaze at the stars from. You will not be disappointed with this place!

This place is FANTASTIC!!! We’ve been coming here for years and it’s never been better. Mark and Hannah are now at the helm and have spruced up the Pisgah View experience… some of the best horse trail riding anywhere in the US against the backdrop of the Smokey Mountains… the addition this year(2009) of Chef Dan(formerly of Key West fame) adds an upscale refresher to the traditional southern-style menu with fresh vegetables from the garden and gourmet delights added into the classic pecan pie. New additions to the activity board, some recent remodeling, a new chef, great horse team and a smile at every turn make this North Carolina retreat a real destination station. The wranglers, fantastic and friendly horses, a refreshing pool, campfires, cookouts, shuffleboard, live music and more have been an important part of our family reunion traditions now for 8 years, and can be for yours too, if you are looking to kick back, appreciate good old fashioned hospitality and a slower pace of life. Wireless internet in the main ranch house allows you to plug in or check the golf scores, if you absolutely must… otherwise, bring your stompin’ boots, a good book and get set for a hidden treat that is well worth the drive from Charlotte, Asheville or a flight in from California or New York. What a gem!
