I visited this place last night with my mom and some of her friends; we live right down the road from it and I’d not been in since it became the Whitewater. It’s very clear that the owners care about the beer they serve to folks. They’ve got a great selection of craft brews on tap from around the U.S. and some good craft brews in bottles(Boulder Shake anyone? GETIT. Your chocolate milkshake loving self will thank you). I’m excited for this place, as someone who lives in the Willamette Valley of Oregon and is used to getting a good craft or micro anywhere I go. I didn’t have any of their food, but am excited to go back and try sometime. The folks tending bar were really nice(I think they own the place?). And they like good music, so that’s always a plus.(:

Their food is always delicious. Love their wings, veggie burgers and garlic park fries(oh and their pulled pork, etc etc). And beer selection is awesome! I regularly drive 40 minutes to hit this place– a CNY fav!

Wow. Great food and great beer selection. Kind of a hole in the wall, so it’s not the place to go for ambulance. Try the piggie Burger. It’s delicious! They were careful with my food allergy, alerting me that the onion ring batter had milk and giving me other options. For such a small operation, this was handled very well.

best craft beer selection for a bar around. Owners passionate and knowledgeable about their beer. Go out of my way to go here to grab a beer and fill up my growler.

Cheap(but tasty) food, great beer, and a sweet location close to Oneida Lake. I could probbaly wrap up the review just like that and get my point across but I will elaborate a bit more to feed the Unilocal masses. Four of us went in on a Friday night and the Tavern was mostly empty — not a good sign usually. My fears were quickly pushes aside when the friendly bartender /waitress brought us our drinks and took our order. The craft beer selection is impressive — they have Allagash on tap which is rare to find in cny. The menu is a simple mix of bar food — burgers, wings, soups, and chicken sandwiches. We all ordered burgers and got the house made fries. The food came out quickly and was great! The fries were the highlight for me. All told our bill for 4 of us with drinks and dinner was right around $ 40. They beating that on a Friday night near the lake. I wasn’t a huge fan of the interior — it was pretty outdated and divey and seemed like it could use some tlc. Other than that I really enjoyed dinner there and would go back again.
