Soooo much fun. I laughed from the moment I got there til I walked out the door. Hilarious… So much fun among like minded people.

Groupon advertised this show in San Diego on a Sunday afternoon, after Halloween 2015. Here’s what my honey wrote about it: When my partner suggested that we go to «The Sweet Spot» and explained the theme of the show, I readily agreed. However, it was not until the day before that we looked up a preview. So, it was with no small measure of trepidation that we eventually decided to attend. You see, on the preview we saw no one that looks like us; 60 and white. Not to worry! Not only was the audience all ages and all shades but we soon discovered that what we all have in common is SEX! And sex is what this show does so well. Sexy people, sexy poems, sexy humor, sexy dancing and did I say, «Sexy people»?! Oh man, we are too old to have children but our practice session after the show was legendary. This show is amazing! Go! Go! Go!

Living Social was having a half off promotion for a burlesque show in Miami. Sounds like a go to me. Didn’t read anymore about it, grabbed two tickets and waited for the day. Fast forward a few weeks and me and the SO are standing in line(sweltering) to enter Grand Central. Doors were supposed to open at 5:45pm for a 6pm show. Tick Tock… Tick Tock. Finally get in sometime way after 6pm. Lines and I don’t get along, nor do I and waiting. Throw some 90 degree heat in the mix and I was entirely nonplussed. But the show must go on. Inside the AC is blasting. So cold… so nice… the wait induced attitude is lifting. If the drinks weren’t ridiculously overpriced I might have been able to shake it sooner. Grab some seats and wait for the event to begin. And boy does it ever. Mostly naked women dancing and celebrating sensual freedom. Enough left on to make the imagination run. But just barely. Erotic poetry of all manners from both men and women. Subjects that peaked and titillated. Top 5’s and things to remember and take note of. Music of a mostly urban variety. Loud, throbbing beats and rhymes, followed in short order by slow, lilting melodies to hold someone close to. The next time The Sweet Spot is in your area… dive in.
