This is a great neighborhood joint. The beer is always cold and the cheesesteaks are outstanding. Really friendly staff. My goto is the cheesesteak with everything and onion rings, you can’t beat it !

Not sure what happened to this place but we’ve been coming here on and off for years. Melograno’s pine hollow was alway a kinda mountain dive bar but the service people were very friendly and it had a great kitchen. Very well prepared bar food, great burgers and steak sandwiches that were not exactly philly style but absolutely delicious. This little bar kitchen could also step up and prepare surprisingly good restaurant quality entrées, ribs, prime rib, meatloaf etc. Went there last night and it was awful, absolutely pedestrian. I had actually been warned that it had slipped over the last year or so but it has hit rock bottom. None of our orders were right and the quality of the food was very disappointing, a shadow of what it once was. If not for the pleasant service it would have been 1 star. Also it is in a hollow, no cell signal, why not have free wifi? It costs nothing and for a place with no cel service it should be a no brainer. No Amex either

Kelsey, I too was a camp councelor at Camp Canedensis and this place had some great nostalgia with me. However, I recently had to travel to NJ on business and had some free time one afternoon so I made the trek out to Canadensis — well I will say the place with 50 of your closest friends makes the place. When I walked in to the Pine Hollow on a Wednesday afternoon you would have thought that they had never seen an «outsider» — what a difference being there on an afternoon in October vs. a Summer night with your counselor friends trying to get a buzz on as quick a possible. So my take is; great place in the Summer if you are a counselor the place cannot be beat — but be wary otherwise.

OK, so it’s been well over 10 years since I’ve been here… should that matter? This is the first place I learned to like alcohol, the first and only place I’ve ever sung karaōke(anyone up for a round of Cecilia?), and an absolutely gorgeous place to have a summer evening cocktail while watching the fireflies. I should say that I was a counselor at a nearby summer camp and this place was the only place close enough for us to go on our nights off, and I’m not positive I’d love it as much if I were going just for fun. Being there with 50 of your closest friends and co-workers, a night away from the kids, cheap drinks and a beautiful mountain setting make for a 5 star rating in my book. Thank you, Pine Hollow. I still have the shirt and key chain… and the memories. Always the memories.
