Green River Veterinary

Super friendly staff, professional and very informative. I wouldn’t take my American Staff Rosie anywhere else. A lot of vets are pretty much salesmen, not this place. I had my dog come in for nail trimming and some medicine. Definitely coming back.

I absolutely love this veterinary clinic. The entire staff is great. My Golden always loved going to the vet and the care and affection he received was always wonderful. My Golden developed cancer and Dr. Durham was absolutely wonderful in not only how he dealt with Rocky but in how he dealt with me. He was very compassionate and understanding and made a very difficult time for me more bearable. Rocky eventually had to be put down and it was one of the most painful moments of my life, but the care and compassion with which it was done helped immensely. Dr. Durham is very knowledgeable and thorough. He takes his time explaining things and never rushes you or your pet. I love that they can do a lot of their own lab work right there which gets you results much quicker. As long as we live in this area and as long as we have pets, we will use Green River Veterinary Clinic. I even like them so much better than the very highly rated vet we used in California.
UPDATE: I now have a new golden retriever and took him in today his warm weather haircut. I was very clear with my instructions. I told them I wanted his hair the length of a Labrador retriever and that I wanted his head and tail done as well. When I picked him up I was horrified and embarrassed. It was the worst grooming job I’ve ever seen in all my years owning a Golden. His body was sheared extremely short and there were ridges (razor tread marks) all over his body and legs. and he was covered in nicks and there was even a spot of dried blood on his fur. They didn’t touch his head or his tail at all and so his body looked small while his head and tail looked ridiculously large. And the transition around his neck was extremely uneven and choppy. Now I have to find a reputable groomer to fix the terrible job that was done. I absolutely do not recommend GRV for any kind of dog grooming unless you have a dog that only needs a bath and brushing.
