I love the idea of the place being a tribute to Ty. Employees were wearing shirts that seemed to have phrases Ty used to say on them«If it flies, it dies!» and«It’s all G». There were pictures on the wall that seemed like they maybe hung in Ty’s room. This seems like a great place to bring kids, as the back area when we visited during lunch on a summer Tuesday was full of them. They were having fun and kind of noisy and boisterous and running around, and the TV was set to the Disney channel — seems about right for a burger/pizza/wings-type place! The seating is not that great, kind of a plain boring back room with no windows. There were a few seats up front but there should be more! They do have some seats outside but we had been camping and just wanted some AC — and there were no shade umbrellas out there. I ordered a Gyro which was a special of the day — it was really good! It came in a wrap and it was easy to eat and tasty. My husband unfortunately did not have a great experience with the wings. It took a very long time to get them and they were still undercooked. The staff refunded his money at that point which was very nice of them. Overall, if you’re camping nearby and looking for fries and burgers with the this could be the place for you!

A coworker loves this place, so we all decided to check it out one Friday evening. The back story on this place is pretty awesome. Apparently Ty’s Place was created in memory of Tyler Michael Batzler, who was tragically taken from the family in a car accident on August 23, 2009, at the young age of 17. It is their mission here to keep his memory and spirit alive. Tyler was an avid hunter who loved the outdoors, which is why there is camouflage in the bathrooms and the big portrait on the wall. That, within itself is pretty freaking awesome. That story alone would make you want to come and visit downtown Campbellsport. I digress. We all ended up getting pizza. The boys got boring old Pepperoni. My friend and I went for something more exciting. We opted for the Chicken Rancher, which has garlic ranch sauce, chicken, and bacon. It was a food party in our mouth. I would check them out if you are in the area!
