Great sandwiches, beer selection and outdoor seating to people watch. We’ll definitely be going back.

keeping this short but that does not reflect how long my tummy was fully satisfied and happy after I inhaled my sandwich. I made a build your own… first off– i must applaud them for asking me if I’d like both meat and bread toasted or just bread. I like my bread warm, and turkey cold thank you– simple things make a sandwich better and most places don’t go out of their way to ask this. anyhow– the marble rye bread was perfectly toasted and turkey was equally delicious. I also had red onion sauerkraut… in which a perfect quantity was placed – enough to taste the flavor and soak into the other ingredients yet, not too much to make the bread soggy(I hate that). the hubs ordered the«turkey» with added sliced bacon. overall, we were very very pleased and felt it was worth the 30min of circling around to find a parking space(fyi– if you come on a sunday during the farmers market hours, expect to do the same — we were unaware of this). we will be returning :)

A place whose pricing is way too confusing. I really wanted to like this place. Very cool vibe & close by. However, I don’t care to be nickel & dimed on basic condiments. When I ‘think’ I’m getting a basic turkey sandwich for $ 7.99 it ends up costing over $ 10. If you have to ‘ask’ how much your sandwich is gonna cost that’s a huge fail. Tip, head just a few doors down to Aqui’s and for around $ 8 you can score a huge chicken wrap with chips & coleslaw.

While it was a little bit pricey for my husband and I to have lunch at Spread, the quality of my sandwich made me forget all about the tab. I never thought I could go anywhere and get a grilled cheese sandwich that was better than a basic G.C.S.(to those of us friendly with the Cheese family) you can make on your own stovetop at home, but with«the business» this was probably the best one I’ve ever had. I could go on and on about the spectacular taste or the fact that the bread was just the right amount of crunchy with no discernible threat of tearing up the roof of your mouth, but if you haven’t had one for yourself I don’t want to make you feel bad for missing out. And I should mention that«Deli &BOTTLES» is absolutely right… The fridge set-up they have inside this small-ish spot certainly reminds me of the beer fridges at San Pedro Square Market, with a big difference being that finding a quiet place to sit here seems to be an infinitely easier task. Get yourself to Spread and try it all!!!

Thought the sandwiches were a little pricey Esp for just a grilled cheese I’m used to having chips or fries but that probably would have been $ 5 more Doubt I’ll be back

Finally get to devour this sandwich after a couple weeks of failed attempts because of the store remodel a while back. This beautiful thing is called«The Duchess.» A little pricey but you can taste the quality of good fresh ingredients. Bread is not too heavy and crisp. Kills Ike’s! Got the Red Branch Peach Cider again #wenapproved

This place is my go-to lunch spot in Campbell when I want healthy and quick lunch. I wish I could go for their happy hour more often because they really have an exceptional selection of beer, both by the can(in cold storage where it should be), and on tap. My favorite sandwich is the Weed Wacker sub the humus and add in some meat. It’s delicious with the roasted tomatoes, sprouts, cheese, and toasted seed/nut bread. Quick, delicious, and nutritious — it’s a solid place.

What do you do when you’re confronted with a arduous 5 hour drive back to Los Angeles? You look for a place to get some body fuel. What do you do when your sister recommends a Deli of all places to pick up some food? You listen to your sister. Well, in most cases, she’s dead wrong but she was spot on with Spread. Damn the sandwiches are amazing. Remember the episode of friends where Joey had to change into maternity pants to accommodate his ever growing waist because of all the thanksgiving meats. You’re gonna need some maternity pants after coming here too. I’m not even kidding. I ordered the Unkosher and what I got was an titanic portion of delicious, melt in your mouth beef pastrami sandwich between two slices of Rye. And that damn Russian dressing. Thank goodness for Russia, right? After all they did give us Sputnik, Putin and now Russian dressing. And this isn’t even the amazing part. Ask yourself this, when was the last time you bought a sandwich and it was still good 5 hours later. Well, look no further, Unkosher to the rescue. After eating the wife’s Humpty Dumpty, well that didn’t sound right, but I digress. I didn’t take my first bite of the Unkosher until I arrived in LA — some 5 hours later and it was still damn amazing. Back to my Wife’s Humpty Dumpty, it was juicy and moist and it had me licking my lips the entire time. Whoever thought a simple egg salad sandwich can be so good. Maybe it was the bacon that the wife added on. Come one, come all. Spread is a great place to grab a sandwich to go or stay and catch the latest Sunday game. They’re even pet friendly with their sidewalk tables if sweaty tight ends and wide receiving isn’t your thing.

The sandwiches are quite pricy. But you are getting exactly what you want. Their pastrami was really good. The have a great selection of beers to go with your sandwiches as well as lemonade scans root beers all bottles.. We sat outside an enjoyed the outdoor seating area.

This place is pricey, but worth it! These sandwiches are super big, so you may want to share with someone. I ordered the duchess, layers and layers of delicious thinly sliced meat. The beef pastrami is my favorite part of the duchess. My mom ordered unkosher. It was delicious, but a little messy because of the bacon Russian dressing. Hands down this is the best pastrami sandwich my mom ever had!

This place was recommended by friends. I got the duchess, which was pretty good. The pastrami was nicely seared. I liked the atmosphere too, it was casual and the workers were friendly. Biggest complaint was that the food took a little while to come out. While it was really good, it was still expensive. I doubt I will be coming back.

I’ve been 4 times now, and have enjoyed all the sandwiches. Would recommend the Duchess, Torta, and Unkosher sandwiches. I like the ingredient combos on these signature sandwiches, great flavors, hearty, and satisfying. If you’re looking for sandwiches that have something a bit different going on, this is the place. Not cheap, but you can tell the these are built with good ingredients, for a nice lunch treat and splurge.

With all that they have at the Campbell strip, I always looked past this place. And after having a mediocre«weedwhacker» sandwich, I don’t regret it. The sandwich was decent, nothing that was offensive. Just a bland sandwich in my opinion. The only time I would come here is to get on their 40% deal on beer bottles when you take it to-go.

So delicious! This is going to be my new go-to for getting work done. Who doesn’t want a killer sandwich and awesome beer while they do work. I got the Duchess which was fantastic! Why choose between turkey and pastrami when you can have both?!

Happy hour goes until late! 2(?) dollars off beers. Mother earth stout was too heavy and bitter for my taste. If you’re feeling indecisive, they give you samples. Whole place smelled delicious, will update review following sandwich tasting

The selection looks small at first but it’s a well-curated group of beers. I tried a chocolatey stout and a sour beer. Both were deeeeeelish. I didn’t have a chance to get the sandwiches but they looked so good. I was just staring at this dude’s egg salad sandwich from across the room. Hope he didn’t think I was creepin’. It’s not often you seen an inch of egg salad in a sandwich. I even saw a couple paramedics stop by while on duty. I thought, of course paramedics would drink on the job. They’re busy saving lives. But they were just there for the sandwiches. I… need… to… come… back.

I came here for lunch today with a group of colleagues, and was pretty happy with the place. Parking is not your friend in this area, but it’s just as bad as everywhere else on the street. Ambiance: hipster chic with cute outdoor seating, graffiti style décor, etc. Reminded me of a Seattle artisan sandwich shop in style. You stand in line, grab your drink from one of many display fridges on your way up to the front of the line, pay, and then wait for them to call your name with your sandwich. It was a pretty warm day, but the inside was not much cooler than outside, if at all. Staff was a friendly and helpful. Timing: We were a big group and getting our orders to go, but even being towards the front of my line, it wasn’t a «fast» turn around. Sandwiches are hand made, and take a bit longer than say Togos or Subway, but are definitely tastier, so worth the little extra time. They aren’t slow, but they aren’t fast. I wouldn’t pick something up here if I were in a rush. Size/Cost: I ordered The Duchess, which was a really good sandwich, but not what I would consider an amazing sandwich. A decent amount of meat, produce seemed fresh, sauce seemed home made, taste was pretty good(when comparing to an artisan sandwich which I have higher expectations for than fast food type places), but the bread was both squishy/over wet in spots from sauce and semi-dry/stale everywhere else. The flavor of the bread was great, but texture, not so much. For $ 14 and some change for a sandwhich, I expected a little more wow factor, but I might just be spoiled by Ikes Love and Sandwhiches price to wow factor ratio being better. Size was pretty large, with some people in our group easily filling up on half, and others who ate the whole thing no problem. For reference, size was similar to Ikes. Overall, I’m a fan. This place was pretty good and I will probably come back if I’m in the area. It’s just not a place I would go out of my way to go to. If the sandwich had a little more wow factor, or the price was a little better, or they had a catchy thing like free soft serve with every sandwich, I could see this place raising in my ranks. As is, it’s good, but not great.

Only weird circumstances usually end up with me going to the same place two times within 3 days. With Spread, though… I’m not going to complain. I love sandwiches and I love beer. Came here for a Silicon Valley Beer Week event hosted by Sierra Nevada. Enjoyed the outdoor couches and fun beer challenge. Came here again during the Humboldt tap takeover(very cool, but surprised they didn’t have anything from Lost Coast Brewing Co.) and tried food this time. Sammiches are pretty expensive… but…very yummy and indulgent. Fun selection of bottles you can buy to-go with a nice discount(currently 40%). Happy hour is a decent deal here, as well. Service has been friendly and attentive. To go order took kind of a while though. A fun place to people watch over a pint in Campbell.

This is a unique sandwich & drinks shop downtown Campbell. Parking is on the street, or around the corner in the public parking garage. There is some nice outdoor seating, they have a few tables outside and then these comfy couches you can lounge around in. I see families with kids there a lot, as well as adults with their dogs(though not a lot of room at all for a stroller inside, and bathroom is M/F shared with no changing table). The inside has high tables with the high seated chairs that go with them. The concept is more artisan sandwiches with a TON of unique beer options, and a limited variety of non-alcoholic beverages. They have a 40% off deal with beer if you take it to-go. If you aren’t a big drinker, and you love those«around-the-world-beer» packs you can get at Cost Plus or wherever, then this is a fun place for you too because you will always find some new drink to be had. If you are a big drinker, this is a cosy place to get your drink on and you’ll never tire of the options. They have a really decent vegetarian selection of sandwiches. On this occasion I tried the egg salad sandwich and the peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The egg salad was really tasty, seasoned well and I could tell the eggs were fresh. Its so nice to get a flavorful egg salad and not get stuck with bland stuff. They do make the sandwich dry though, so if you want mustard or any other sauces on the bread just ask them to include it, they don’t charge extra for that. The bread is lightly toasted but that didn’t make it a cardboard piece of bread or one that scratches the roof of your mouth. I also tried their house made peanut butter and jelly. This one, I think I will pass on for the future. Its a bit pricey at $ 6, and it wasn’t that robust for the money and was just ok. I think that for $ 6 they could pep this one up with apples or bananas or something… and offer a kiddy version of it for cheaper(especially since families come here). I stopped by a second time today and got their«Angry Tuna» for my husband, and he *loved* this sandwich, so we will definitely come back. I had a nice enough experience to try out their other sandwiches I saw on the menu. This is a hand crafted, small sandwich place though — which means if you have ever been to Ike’s you know what the wait is like. They have two sandwich makers mostly, and they are doing their fastest but each sandwich has a lot of components that takes time. If you are in a rush, CALLAHEAD for a to go order, because you will be bummed with the wait. All in all, pretty fun stuff. I’m glad they are in Campbell, they fit in and there isn’t really anything like it in the area. I’ve always seen them busy so that is a great sign. Stop by if you have always passed and wondered, you won’t regret it.

Delicious sandwich! The sandwich combos were a little too odd for my simple palette but my custom build was perfection. The staff were super friendly. The place was clean. FYI — Tons and tons of beer choices. I like. :)

Spread seems unapologetically hipster. They have crazy anti-establishment sandwiches that, at least according to my four visits(so far) are just crazy enough to be unexpectedly delicious. On my first trip to Spread I had the Bologna sandwich. This ain’t your first grader’s Oscar Mayer bologna with American cheese on white bread. Far from it. This one has crispy mortadella, sharp cheddar, greens, tomato, special mustard, mayo, salt and vinegar chips on a killer sweet roll. I heard the crunch before I could taste the lunch. The sandwich was very dramatic and almost theatrical the way it enticed and turned a classic into a sophisticated and complicated variant. Fantastic. After a trio of the Bologna sandwiches, I went for the Boomer on my most recent visit. I love mushrooms, and the pairing of the meaty portobello with the crispy enoki mushrooms, plus goat cheese, arugula, tomatoes, pesto and balsamic — I didn’t even think about it until later that the sandwich was vegetarian. My colleague raves about the Unkosher, and I think I’ve got a Duchess coming in my future. Spread isn’t cheap, but you get what you pay for and this place is awesome. If I have one criticism it is that I didn’t love Spread’s egg salad because of all the mustard and dill. I prefer a simpler, more traditional(I know… boring) egg salad with egg, salt and mayo on good bread. Lettuce, tomato and sprouts are preferred but not required. There are plenty of other build my own and signature sandwich options to choose from.
