Naturepedic

I think this might be my new favorite place :). I originally came here to buy an organic crib mattress for my baby, and had no clue they sold adult mattresses and bedding accessories too. I had just purchased a «natural» King latex mattress from another company, Essentia, and I didn’t like it. The second I walked in naturepedic I was greeted by Richard. He was so awesome and helpful, and helped me pick a great crib mattress (which my baby loves, and I love knowing its 100% non toxic). we started talking about the latex mattress I recently purchased at Essentia, and how it smelled like chemicals and was too firm etc. — Richard showed me their organic latex mattress and it was sooooo much more comfortable than the one I just bought. I was instantly sold, and ended up returning my other mattress and ordering a latex mattress from Richard. It arrived a couple of weeks later, and they had a guy deliver and set it up for us. I have chemical sensitivities and I can smell everything. This bed did not smell at all! With their latex beds, you can choose your own comfort level and mix and match firmness levels which is awesome. You basically get a custom bed. My other criteria was I wanted a bed with no fire retardants or chemicals. This bed uses organic cotton and wool as a fire barrier. Most beds in America are filled with pounds of chemical fire retardants, and spending ¹⁄₃ of your life with your face pressed against a toxic bed? No thank you. I can sleep better now knowing my baby is sleeping on a safe mattress and also that my husband and I are. I went back last week and purchased the mattress protector for our bed from Maria and plan on getting a latex pillow soon. Both Richard and Maria really made our experience pleasant and go the extra mile to make their customers happy. This store has a personal, small business type of feel. Even though naturepedic is a well know brand with an excellent reputation, I appreciate the personal attention and customer service they provide.

Being a huge fan of Naturepedic, we were very happy to find an actual store in south bay. We discovered Naturepedic when we were shopping for a crib mattress for our little guy. Considering how much time your baby spends in a crib, made so much sense and made us feel better knowing his mattress is made out of organic cotton. They’re also GOTS and OTCO certified meaning in addition to their products being made with non-​toxic, natural material, they’re also produced in an ethical, sustainable way.
Richard at the store was very knowledgeable and helpful. We bought a single bed mattress from him for our son’s big boy bed and had the delivery scheduled on the same as the bed delivery. On the morning of the delivery date, Richard found that there had been a scheduling error and the delivery wouldn’t happen as planned. Knowing we were coordinating the mattress delivery w/​our bed delivery for our son to sleep in his new big boy bed that night (I had made a big deal about it when I was at the store), Richard rented a delivery truck and brought it over himself to make sure we got the mattress delivered as planned. We had only realized this is what had happened after Richard showed up at our house w/​the mattress at the scheduled time. Talk about amazing service and attention to detail. Gold star.
The store also carry mattress covers and mattress topper (quilted pads) — all made of organic cotton. Very convenient.
