Campbell United Methodist Church

This church as to be the most welcoming and authentic church congregation I have ever attended. The pastor delivers sermons that I can relate to in everyday life and the music is fantastic! We’ve taken our children there and they’ve been nurtured by great Sunday school teachers. A real family church for people of all ages. When they say «All are welcome,» they mean it!

Very nice church, good people, all inclusive, great events to bring people together, a church for everybody. I do think they need to do even more to include teens and youth. They have programs, but I think even more is needed to bring the younger generation in and help the church to grow. They have great programs to get involved in for community service and projects, including the jail ministry. Beautiful church inside to worship and reflect. Thank you CUMC!

I think Garza G. summed this church up nicely, when he said he had been going for two years and didn’t know the doctrine, that the church wasn’t being religious to his children, and that every church is somehow the same. This church is a good one for the lukewarm Christian. The one who wants to feel good about themselves by going to church, but really isn’t interested in that real walk with Christ. Jesus is more like their drinking buddy than their Lord. I am not saying that everyone in the church is this way, but if you want to be, then this is a good place to land on a Sunday.

Okay, so give it up. Church is church. Hell, my kids go to a Jewish Preschool and we’re Methodist. Every preacher, every church is somehow the same. But for our family, at least, the Cambell UMC is different.
1. The building is so ugly you wouldn’t think to step foot inside… until you do and it’s beautiful.
2. It’s a totally awesome congregation. I’ve been going for two years and don’t know the doctrine that well, but LOVE the people. Whoah, amazing people.
3. They love kids. It sounds stupid but they don’t give me the freakish feeling of being stalked by religion toward kids. They just like kids.
4. My kids ADORE this place and actually want to go to church.
5. They have Parent’s Night Out/​Kids Night Out events frequently for low cost with a great program.
6. They have free Sunday School every Sunday so you can go to church in peace (or ditch out and go to Starbucks for a different kind of peace and quiet).
7. They don’t pretend to be know-​it-​all Christians. These folk like to question the Bible, like to get together for random reasons (i.e.: Mariachis at Mass on Cinco de Mayo, Mass on the lawn outside church when the weather is nice) and have a great sense of humor about our faith (i.e.: a giant Stop Sign during Lent last year to remind us to stop and think about Lent).
8. In two years, I have never, ever fallen asleep in church.
