Basically the only problem I had with this place is that breakfast was awful. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. I slept well, and I almost always have trouble sleeping in hotels. We were even pleasantly surprised to find that the TV had a USB port that we could use to charge our phones. The water pressure in the shower was good(after I got my husband to change the setting on the shower head that I’m too short to reach – DON’T LAUGH), there were plenty of towels, and the toiletries were pleasant. There is plenty of parking and the Metro station is a short walk or shuttle ride away. The breakfast sucked. There was generically flavored mixed fruit, which is mixed fruit that looks fresh but tastes like nothing. There are waffle irons that don’t get your waffle crispy(although there is a really nice variety of toppings for those waffles). There are pastries that tasted stale and flavorless. The hot options are a meat and an egg. Being vegetarian, I usually rely on the eggs to give me some much-needed protein at a hotel breakfast, because it’s often one of the few options I have(even the yogurt cups have gelatin in them!). But both mornings that we ate here, the eggs had meat in them. One morning, it was omelets with peppers and ham; the next it was scrambled eggs with pieces of sausage. What gives? Since there’s already a meat dish, why not just let people decide for themselves if they want to eat meat and eggs together, instead of mixing them and ensuring some folks can’t eat it? I ate the little cups of peanut butter; it was the only thing I had left.

My family and I absolutely loved this hotel! The location is about 20 minutes away from downtown DC via metro and the station is right around the corner from the hotel and the shuttle service is awesome. We just come down and they will drop you off or call on your way home and they will be waiting for you. The shuttle is 100% free but tips are appreciated. The hotel itself is modern, beautiful, and definitely energy efficient. The common area is large and the staff is very very friendly. The pool is heated with a lifeguard on duty at all times. The gym is very nice with new equipment, free weights, medicine balls, a TV and more. Every morning we woke up to an awesome free breakfast with a waffle bar, bakery goods, eggs, bacon, sausage, juices, cereal, oatmeal, etc. They also packed breakfasts to-go at the front desk in case you are on the run. They have a 24 coffee and tea bar that is always looked after. 24 hour sweet shop/convince counter and business center. I would only stay at Hampton inns if they were all like this. Warm cookies every night, kind staff, and comfy beds. Loved this hotel!

Excellent hotel. Convenient to metro and other entertainment. Offers a shuttle to close venues for free, but a tip is appreciated. Friendly staff and a pool for the kids, with a life guard!

Outstanding hotel. Loved our stay here. The common areas were beautiful, the room was spotless and the staff was amazing. Very friendly and helpful people throughout our stay. The shuttle service to the nearby metro station was a highlight for the rest of my family, ready immediately to drop off and pick up. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend staying at this Hampton Inn.

How the hell are people giving this spot less than 4 – 5 stars? This is a great hotel. It’s modern, it’s clean, the workout center is SPOTON, and the staff is friendly. They have a free shuttle service, which I used to go to the National Harbor(great spot, probably 6 minutes away), and then to Dunkin’ Donuts for breakfast. Right now I have not one complaint about this place. Oh, quick tip: insert your room key into this little wall gadget to turn on the power in the room. I think they want you to take it out when you leave to save power and energy.

Energy efficient rooms come to America. This is the first U.S. Hilton property I’ve seen with the use-key-to-get-electricity. Modern! Green! Also, on the green bandwagon were the elevators. They didn’t work. They promised Otis was on the way but we got our exercise, repeatedly. Next time I will request a room on the first floor.
