By far the worst experience I ever had in buying kitchen appliances. Started out ok with good interaction with sales associate. Nothing but a nightmare after that. Not sure even where to begin there’s so much to cover. Maybe the broken water valve the installer broke and left dripping and said nothing but, sorry, I shouldn’t have tried to do that. Left with water leaking under sink. Paying for a refrigerator with and ice maker that included a mandatory new water hose for $ 29.99 extra charge. After breaking the valve, we opened up the fridge and guess what, there was no ice maker installed! The associate put in the wrong numbers in the computer when we ordered it. Called store, opps, sorry! We set a delivery date for everything to be done in one day only to be told they messed up and couldn’t do it all the same day. Will now take a week to complete installation. Started Saturday(fridge delivery & install & stove delivery), Monday(dishwasher install & stove installation) and now Friday to finish with an ice-maker kit installation. Installers came Monday to due stove and dishwasher install and they tried to hit us with another $ 150.00 extra charge to add a plug and another valve connection for the dishwasher. After explaining we had to go back to pay extra on Friday already the installer said they didn’t get paid by Sears but by the customer. Another hidden charge. Yea! I forgot to mention that the sales associate said I could save some bucks and remove the stove overhead fan & light myself and save the $ 130.00 installation & disposal fee. He didn’t mention that it may be hard wired to the electrical system. Something an electrician should do and not a customer with no experience in electrical wiring. So in 3 more days we may get our ice-maker and this nightmare may be over. GOELSEWHERETOBUYYOURAPPLIANCES. We’ll NEVER be back for one! I’ve been telling everyone about this nightmare and to not go to Sears! PS, They came today Fri. 13th to finish install with our ice maker kit and guess what, they brought a Whirlpool icemaker for a Kenmore fridge. The nightmare continues! After 2 weeks project complete. Never go to SEARS for an appliance!

We purchased a brand new refrigerator for my in-laws in PA in April 2010. A problem with the lower freezer drawer came up on August 2, and it took them until September 3 to fix the problem. They started with a 3 week estimate for a service person to come out, failed to return calls several times, and rescheduled the service visit once. The sales rep we dealt with never returned a call … she was happy to have the first sale, but not to deal with customer service issues. The repairman who finally fixed the problem told us that Sears uses the same repair service also used by Lowe’s, Best Buy, and several other small appliance stores. Sears won’t get priority on any repairs, and given the sales reps lack of interest in customer service follow-up, we’re not interested in purchasing here again. Bad service all around.

Oh how the mighty are falling. My grandfather used to work here almost 2 decades ago and I remember clearly how things used to work, and how they were setup, and how the people operated. It is so far from that right now, it’s almost sad. I came in looking for a light bulb for a flashlight. I didn’t think it was that complicated, of course I have horrible luck when it comes to hoping for things, and as I would learn, apparently buying bulbs is uncharted territory for the 4 employees in the hardware section that evening because no one could figure out if they had one that would work. After about 10 minutes of having them call different people in different departments to help bail them out, I basically gave up and walked to Radio Shack, guess what. Found the bulb. Oh well.

I must say normally I do not shop here, but I was out looking to get some new clothes for work and decided to stop in here. I found the clearance racks and could have bought a fortune worth. The deals on the clearance racks were UNBELIEVABLE. The most expensive item I got was about $ 7.00. I ended up with three tops, a skirt, and a pair of slacks, all of which were worth about $ 200 at regular price. The price i paid for them was $ 17.70. Talk about a great deal! I will definitely be heading back there when I need clothes!!!
