We recently moved to the area and were in search of a good taqueria. We definitely found our new go to taqueria! We tried two other local taquerias prior to this one and this was our favorite by far. We tried the grilled chicken super tacos and regular tacos. They both were fabulous. We will definitely be back!

This place has some of the best authentic Mexican food in el dorado county. Everything I have had here is amazing. I get the breakfast burrito quite often which probably my favorite. I would highly recommend checking this place out if you appreciate great Mexican food!

100 percent of the time I’m in Cameron Park it’s because of the bomb tacos here. Sorry no picture, I already ate them. They’re that good. Its like your best imagining of a street taco but on steroids. There’s cheese in between the tortillas. There’s a few beans and some good pico on top of your choice of meat. And it’s wrapped up nicely for you so those bold flavors don’t end up all on your fresh velour fit. Everything else I’ve had here has been handled with as much love and care as those tacos. I recommend it. Viva mejico!

Nothing special. Tried the chili Verde.. tasted like it was made with canned sauce. On top of that, the actual meat to sauce ratio was sad. The portion size was laughable for what they charged as well. Carnitas wasn’t anything awesome neither. And lastly as someone else mentioned, not feeling the lady’s attitude who runs the place. She puts off a wierd vibe. I don’t get the hype. Don’t buy into it.

In an area with an abundance of great taqueria’s, this one needs to step-up it’s game. I admit I tend to hold these kinds of establishments to a very high standard, since my Mother-in-law, owned a very successful one in the Bay Area in the 70’s &80’s. With that said, we tend to compare, first chicken enchilada’s then beans as our«litmus test». Unfortunately they both came up «bland and blander». I had the chicken tacos. The portion size was generous, but the chicken was shredded(I prefer grilled) and flavorless. Our biggest disappointment with this place was that they did not serve menudo on Saturday. This really should have been our first indication that we were not in for a «great meal». Seriously is there any«self respecting taqueria» that doesn’t serve menudo or posole(or both) on the weekend ? Their was a couple of «positives»(earning them the 3rd star). First, the service was friendly and swift. Secondly, I believe they fry their own chips(not out of a giant Costco bag), so the chips & salsa were tasty.

Yummy food and nice staff. The restaurant was clean and fajitas were delicious. Love that they are small business!

Finally a authentic Mexican restaurant. I only had time to try the tacos this time I will be back soon for more sampling. Great food and seems to be fairly busy for a Tuesday evening. Looking forward to the next visit.

Food here is actually good. I have been coming here for a while now when it was owned by by another. Food and prices are good for the belly and the pocket. My only gripe here here is the lady at the«front desk». She’s not very unwelcoming and always have this scowl on her face. It detracts having to enjoy the food. Food = 7⁄8 out of 10. Front staff = 2 of 10

Food is good prices are fair but they could put some more meat in the burritos! Raise the price a little bit and add some more meat

I’ll give this a 1.5 for the free soda refills, complimentary chips, and the hella bomb 75 cent sour cream. I come from San Diego and this California burrito tasted like I was eating only a flour tortilla. It was so bland, but at least I got full… maybe I got the wrong thing on the menu or people up here do not know what Mexican food tastes like besides taco bell.

Tacos and burrito were bland. Needed lots of salt and pepper. Server must have been having a bad day because she was not very friendly. I had heard great things about this place but was sadly disappointed!

Just what you want from a local taqueria: 1. Great tastes that pop! 2. Good prices 3. Quick and happy service They nailed that for sure. What is extra here is the delicious chicken that is surprisingly delightful. Add that to the Dorado crispy shells and you get a wonderful taste gift. The super taco is the way to go with the avocado and pico. Add some ice cold cerveza and chips & salsa with a kick!

This is a long overdue review, we get take-out every week. Even though it’s small and frequently crowded, the open kitchen gets your order out quickly. From Folsom to Placerville we haven’t found a Mexican restaurant that even comes close… if they had a full liquor license for margaritas it would deserve 6 stars.

I’ll drive to Folsom or sac for a better burrito. We got the carne Asada meat in our burritos and all I can say is that it was primarily gristle and odds & ends. Many bites were so hard to chew that we had to give up and spit them out. And trust me, we aren’t quitters. The pinto beans were fine, not much flavor. We were under impressed. The people behind the counter weren’t very friendly either. We won’t be going back.

Love there burritos. Huge filling and good meat… the smothered burrito is the best. Salsa is good as well. Great take out. Call it in its done fast… highly recommended when you don’t want to cook.

Super Burrito had beans rice meat and a little guacamole but no cheese or sour cream The Al Pastor tastes like idk I guess plain. The Enchilada sauce was just NO! The chile rellano, I just threw it away. The salsa was good though! The horchata tasted like powder and left a film on your tongue. This place used to be so so good I wonder what happened!

This is a small, walk up to the counter place. I came during lunch rush and there were 5 or so people ahead of me waiting to order. They have a good selection of lunch specials, ranging from $ 6 – 10. All come with rice, beans, chips, salsa and a drink. I got the taco/enchilada combo. It set me back $ 9. It took maybe 10 minutes to get my food, which is impressive because the place was packed. The food was fresh and tasty. Not super authentic taco truck style but not like Chevys, and probably the most authentic you’re likely to get in the hills.
