The coffee is good, food good, unfortunately you have to have product stocked for your menu. customer service is very bland. I also expect a full cup of coffee.

Old Time Charm and warm feeling with the best ice-cream and price in town. Can’t beat $ 1 scoops! Will go and take my children as often as possible. Only 1 suggestion… More small tables instead of 1 large 1 would make it more appealing to sit… but I can get over it. Thanks for helping to keep Cameron Park a small town with a family feeling!

The owner Jenny’s friendly and helpful, the Mocha’s here are the best I’ve tasted in Cameron Park. I’ve also enjoyed their pizza bagel, however I wouldn’t recommend this if it’s busy, the toaster can be fussy and eat your bagel for you!

Being the coffee snob that I am when I saw two five star reviews for J & J Java I couldn’t wait to check it out. Two words described my shock when I enter the little shanty café. Let Down. I ordered two separate double espresso, one for me and one for my sick dad. They came in foam cups, and my crema had more blond than a cheer-leading convention. It was very bitter pulled long(not restretto like I asked) There were two little picnic tables out on a small patio. The parking is in the back alley, or in the Circle-K parking lot which makes it inconvenient and inaccessible. Whilst a horrible experience as far as coffee, it isn’t an airport Starbucks Coffee kiosk. For that two stars.

I agree with Andrew, I love this place for my morning coffee! Even if I am in a bad mood on my way to work Jenny lifts my spirits and brightens my day. Work provides good coffee for free but regardless of that I still regularly stop for my morning mud just to get that sense of community and see friendly faces. How she remembers everyones name, orders and schedules I will never know! I typically try to stay away from the chain stores as I feel they take a bit of my soul each time I go, this place gives me back what those empty stores have taken from me so I guess you could even say J & J Java is a spiritual experience! Other items of note… — They also have collectible cards and comics I think, never looked closely but if your kids are into them it is a place to get them. — There is typically a paper on a table available to read and they sell papers to take with you as well. — Not your uptight sterile on every corner yuppy coffee joint(thank you!) — Donuts, fruit, hot breakfasts and other food items are available. — Accepts cash ONLY — Parking is lousy. Either park along the alley or in the Taco Bell express lot and walk around the corner. Even with the bad parking I still give this place 5 stars for the character and warmth appeal.

This place ROCKS! Jenny, the owner, is so friendly and she remembers everyone’s drinks. This is like an old-fashioned coffee stop, but with modern drinks(and lots of them). If you like iced drinks, here is one to try next time you are there. Ask for an «Iced Hong Kong». It includes Asian tea mixed in with an iced latte. I usually get flavored syrup in my coffee, but with the Hong Kong, I don’t need any. It also has about 2x the normal caffiene of a latte so it will give you a kick. Try it once and you will be hooked! While you are there, you can check our Jim’s collection of sports memorabilia and comic game cards. Cool stuff. Go for the coffee, stay for the great conversation with the regulars!
