We went on a sunset cruise during a vacation on a nice evening. The usual captain had contracted out to someone else to sail and provide interesting details about the harbor, lighthouse and surroundings. We paid full price but got only half the tour; scheduled 7:15 — 9:15 but we were back in the harbor docking by 8:30 tops. When I asked about it, the stand-in captain said, «Oh, the wind died down and I didn’t want to start the motor.» Meanwhile the other schooner boats were way out seeing nearby islands on their 2-hr sunset cruises. While it was nice for our group to be the only people aboard, the Lazy Jack definitely lives up to its name…

We set sail in the morning and had a wonderful time. The view from the sea is magnificent. You can see the Camden hills, other big ships, and a great selection of the coastline. The Captain and his crewmate will enlist your voluntary help to raise the sails, and are so much fun. This is an essential activity if you visit Camden!

It was the first time my wife and I have ever sailed. It was fantastic. Great views and a great crew. We met so many interesting people during the cruise. We had so much fun and words can’t describe this group. Makes me want to have my own boat and learn to sail.

Of the choices to go sail in Camden this is the one to do. The captain is so pleasant and extremely knowledgeable about the area and the sea plus he built the boat himself. In addition his crewmate Martha was just so pleasant and a real joy to speak with. A great seagoing experience and we look forward to going out on te Lazyjack again.

Awesome! This is the day sail of day sails. It’s a must do activity while visiting Camden Maine. Captain built this vessel himself!
