This is the best Mexican I’ve had in south jersey. The food was excellent and very authentic. I also love their micheladas. Definitely recommended if you’re in the area. Rough neighborhood though, so park near the restaurant if possible.

Based on the good reviews, my boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try. We came here at 1:15 and didnt get our food until 2. The place is not even busy, there is one person beside us. The food is average. Definitely Not worth the wait.

First off I want to say I’m from California so I know good Mexican food when I see/taste it. This place serves authentic Mexican food, I want to say it’s one of the best Mexican food places I’ve been to on the east coast since I moved here in August. So far I’ve had the green enchiladas, which were a bit spicy for me but still tasty. The tortas are good, especially the Cemita Poblana. The aguas are good not too sweet not too bland, the horchata is amazing. The tacos are delicious as well as the green sauce and the red sauce which is a little on the mild side. Also they give you chips with beans and queso fresco as an appetizer, I always have the urge to ask for those beans on the side because they’re so good. The staff is friendly and nice, as well as the overall décor.

Very authentic and delicious. The waitress doesn’t speak much english, but works to make sure your order is correct. Located on a main street. The chili relleno was awesome. This place is a hidden gem. Highly recommended for any Mexican food lover!

This place is definitely hands down my favorite place for Mexican food! It’s authentic, it’s fresh and oh so yummy! I highly recommend San Lucas. The waitress and staffs are superb. Definitely stop in here if ever in the area!!! Pros: * Food is great and fresh * Resturant is clean * Prices are reasonable * Staff is super friendly * Portions are huge! Cons: * English is limited(well you are in a Mexican Resturant) but they work with you to get everything correct. My orders are hardly ever wrong and if it was it was still delicious! * In the heart of Camden, NJ(definitely not the best area) so park near the resturant if possible

This place is the real deal. This is my very favorite Mexican restaurant for a full meal. My other fav is all the way in Norristown and my fav for tacos is Taco Riendo. Of course I love certain other fancy choices but to get just a plain good meal with out the frills this is where I go. This is where all the Mexicans go from Camden and the surrounding areas. This is the best place around for authentic Mexican aside from a few Philly favs. Come here and you wont regret it. The soups are exceptionally good on the weekends. Try pozole. The best dish on the menu is Viejo San Lucas. For about $ 15 you get chicken, beef, rice, beans, queso fresco, and cactus & onion and homemade tortillas(a must for me!). The homemade nachos are free as soon as you sit down. Served with creamy beans and sprinkled with queso, I bet they will be long gone before the food arrives. Appetizers are super cheap at $ 3 but my bill is always high because I order everything I see!!! There is always parking on 26th(off Federal) and I hear that on the weekends they have a taco truck outback although I haven’t seen it. The neighborhood is sketchy so get in and get out. Arrive during the daylight and leave your fancy car at home.
